Beginner here Just a couple questions..

Hi there guys, here goes:

I have 2 plants on the go on a 18/6cycle , they are only about 6 inches tall and 7 weeks in, does that sound normal?

I m using a 150 watt HPS light, room temp is 80, water temp is 63-64 ,

PH is 6.5 but unfortunately i do not have a PPM meter yet, it's on the way.


I flushed the reservoir once a week and started to add nutrients on week 5, Using Floragrow


Any advice would be most appreciated , thanks!

For 7 weeks, yes thats very small do you have pictures?

you need to post pics.

cuz that is VERY small especially if your using any type of HID even if it is only 250w.

Here is the first pic

They are sitting o top of a 70L tote with a pump on the site, 4 hoses 2 in each plant.
Stems are all green, doesnt seem to be any stress, i must also say i flushed it out and tried to make sure the water was 70 ish and they sprouted a bit, but its slowing again.

are the roots covered or are they in that see through bowl?

because the roots should not be exposed to light unless necessary. that could be the reason for your short growth,

it looks a tad unhealthy and it looks more like 3 weeks old TOPS.

Yes some roots are exposed il make sure to hide the and soak them , but they were placed in Feb 7th.

EDIT: Yes they are in the see through bowl, with a spunge around it, holes in the bottom of the bowl.

One month should be primo veg time with that setup.They should be about a foot tall day 30 veg with out LSTing.

What type nutes?

bla bla bla, how many nodes do you have, hps veg squat plants, loose or cover that clear thing the roots don't care about light but green mold loves it and will grow all over that rockwool and your roots and it will be the mold your roots don't like nt the light

You will need the ph meter and adjusters, they will struggle to grow unless ph is 5.8 .

PH is 6.5

EDIT: there was indeed a tiny bit of mold on the "see through" cup , so i cleaned it and wrapped some of that black/white wrap , I think its called Malrye?

Edit: Also the ph is fine for the first bit , but on the last 2 days it dips, i flush it once a week , seems to be ok?
