beginner issues

started germ with paper towel. they popped roots. I then placed them into some little peat starter cubes that is in a 10" pot with Scotts Moisture Advantage Potting Soil as my soil. its basically a 2'x2' closet lined with foil. I started out with 8 23w cfls. 6700k of course. plenty of ventilation. at one point i felt like the heat was too much and after doing research on lumens per square foot. The math left me with removing 3 bulbs. So i'm running 5 23w cfl's. My growth is no where near that of a friend of mines setup. Very frustrated. I thought maybe the netting around the peat moss cubes was possibly restricted the roots somewhat and stunting growth. Well there were more roots than I anticipated so there was some level of damage done when I removed the netting. these are 3 weeks old. thanks for any input.

have you used any nutes on them? they look kinda like mine did when i accidentally watered the sprouted seeds with nutes by mistake. the first few leaves were yellowish abd burnt and it stunted the plant for about 3-5 days b4 it started growing again. I am a major beginner to this so take that for what its worth.

dont use nutes on the seedlings and iff your using aluminum thin foil dont use it white paint is better or mylar, oh dont use the same pot for multiple plants. keep the good work you are doing great.

ps: theres no such thing as to much light you can get to much heat but get as many lights as you can iff you have heat issues use another vent extracting more air. good luck m8

Its definately the soil, same thing happened to one of my plants, it might outgrow it and all future leaves wont have that problem
