beginning flower light cycle question

i just started flowering and just finished my 36 hours of dark and i wanted to set my light to turn ON at 8am and turn off at 8pm, but i woke up too late and had to turn it on at 9am. is it okay to turn the light off tonight at 8pm and from then on start turning it on at 8am?
because i turned the light on at 9am today, should i turn it off at 9pm today and just start using 8am to 8pm tomorrow? or should i turn it off at 8pm and start using 8am to 8pm tomorrow?
