Beginning leaves turning spotty & yellowish

Don't know if I can help or if you still need it but I'm kind of going through the same thing it looks like. I have posted about yellow spots on my leaves and people keep telling me spider mites, but I looked into mites and apparently your able to see a greyish tent under the leaves as well as tiny little bugs but I didn't see any thing like that, so make sure you check under all leaves as well. Also I thought maybe I was having nute lock due to my tap water was coming out at 7.2 ph! So I don't think my plants could get the nutes my soil is giving it, so make sure ph is good. Also I don't know if your leaves have a slight purple tent to them when you get really close to them but mine sure do so that's another reason I thought nute lock. Hope it helps but more pictures would be helpful to.

People have been telling me spider mites as well but I check under all
My leaves and didn't see anything and my leaves aren't purple they're green just those two that were browning . My buddy said they were burning nothing serious just move the lights back so I did and I haven't seen a increase in the infected areas

Looks like to much of something, do you have a ph meter? If so test the water that comes out the bottom of the plant and the water your giving it

Doesn't seem like you have too much if any perlite in your soil. Perlite helps regulate moisture in the soil, keeps a little air in there so things don't get stagnant. Without it, you can trigger a host of problems, including 'nute' burn, symptoms of overwatering (which is looks like you have a touch of), and slower growth.
It may not totally be the problem, but mites? No. It's an imbalance of some kind, and a good place to start is by making that soil more hospitable.

You need to give us more info on exactly what your using nite and soil wise ........I wouldn't worry to much about adjusting or messing with ph since your in soil to begin with. I also agree with the above comment you need to get them into a better soil with perlite MJ likes fluffy well draining soil I think that would be my first move if I was you getting it into better soil with perlite that drains/dries well And remember always let the soil dry well inbetween waterings I can't stress this enough

I am not using nutrients I didn't have the extra money and soil wise , I couldn't tell ya it's from my cousins grandpa he makes his own fertile potting soil . He said it would do wonders . There's like barely any perlite . But there's some . I don't know how to mix some in without putting the "stem in shock and potentially killing the plant" that quote comes from the weed man himself

I was using tap water the first week of my grow, then the start of the second week I added some nutes but only at 1/4 strength and they seemed to have loved it and showed no deficiencys and I also had no ph meter for my water at the time. At the end of the second week, the day before the start of the third week I transplanted into soil that was already ph to 6.5 so I to thought it had enough nutrients and that tap water was good enough. By day 4 of week 3 my plants stated showing signs of something(still not 100% sure) odd and I recently received my ph meter I ordered just a day before it all started. So I checked the ph of my tap and it was 7.3! I thought way to much alkaline and my plants couldn't receive the nutrients from the soil(nutrient lock out). I have ph just my water to 6.2 and have been using ONLY water for my plants sense and they seem like there bouncing back. SO all I'm saying keep an eye on your tap water

How much do ph meters run cause I need one just in case this is the problem . If it's to high how do I reduce it

I bought my ph meter off eBay for 9$ and I also use lemon juice to ph my water/nutrients down and it's like 2$ at wal-mart. If your ph gets to low you can use baking soda for ph up, so no need for ph up and down chemicals just the good organic way

Did you check under leaves for mites I know it's been brought up but get ur loupe out and look under all the leaves for eggs etc. mites can be easily missed with the naked eye. Don't just lift up and look. You need to really look. Take pics of your plants leaves on a tilt and see if you can see any thin webbing going from tip to tip it's easy to miss when it ain't much.

I have done some research and watch some videos and what it looks like is my leaves are burning . Can't be from my lights I have them at least 3-6" above my plant. I have a feeling it could be pH levels being to high and causing a burn ? I have no clue on how to stop it from every leaf getting these burns . Some a shit ton worse than others . Even some of the new beginning leaves are receiving a bit of a burn. PLEASE HELP

What kind of light are using to be putting them 6" away from your plants? If it's cfl I understand but hps or mh would be WAY to close. Also seems like you have way to much nitrogen with that type of burning going on but I could be wrong. You did said it was home made fertilizer so it could just be super rich in nutrients, I would definitely get a soil ph tester.

2 x 125 watt CFL 7,000 lumens each 2700k & when I catch some more money I'm going to buy a ph meter and some real nutrients . Maybe better lights as well
