ive always dont this, keps the plant away form the light this way. it also lets moer aread get light that normally wouldnt.

hey sleeper i know your on a tight budget but the cardboard is a major fire hazard especially with 1000 do you have any plywood around you can paint white..just a suggestion

hahah I've thought of that myself. I've done some "tests" and I am pretty confident I have no fire hazards. My ballast for the light does get pretty warm though, it's kept outside the room set on the concrete floor. Thanks for getting me worried now hahah
