Berkeley Campus Take-over

started a couple, hours ago. i've been watching it build up on the local news. they have taken over the main hall and are protesting next years fee hikes. there are riot cops out front and they have the building taped off. more students are showing up and joining in a so far peaceful rally in front of the building. i can't find any links yet. this could get BIG. or not. the next few hours will tell, ..... :joint::joint:

32% increase in tuition fees. they just announced it yesterday.

there is a big storm heading this way. it's about to start pouring. literally, it's gonna rain. it's raining here already.

the crowd is growing, .......

I wonder if the 32% increase is for the time it will take to convince students that
1) the constitution is a dead and worthless document and
2) Socialisum really works.

All jokes aside- I wonder how the Revenue Enhancement Agents for the State of California will respond?

the crowd is growing rapidly as students start to arrive for classes. they are being asked to skip class and attend the protest. it appears most are.

they have drum circles, .........

My sister graduated from Berkeley.

Coming from the east coast, it was a different world altogether.

One time, I gave some homeless looking hippie a couple of smokes (just cause I'm a nice guy and he looked down and out), and he responded by giving me a quarter of dank.

I like Berkeley.

California has been on a reckless spending binge in recent decades. Feel good left wing social agendas have induced rampant malfeasance.
There would inevitably have to be a day of reckoning.

Unfortunately CA is a microcosm of the USA...

Privatization, yeah, that will ensure that only the rich get college degrees. It's going to be a 3rd world country for the majority soon enough. The bread lines are coming. I hope it turns into a revolution, a peoples revolution. I've got my arsenel. Rich people beware, the people will be coming for you.
