yep, a parliamentary system, very successful to world wide, but like any other democratic government you have to have good people who are honest and of good will. Most modern multicultural democracies have hate and hate speech crime laws to quell social division, bigotry and racism, America will too, you will be muzzled.

To quote the illiterate confederate general, "Fistist with the mostist wins it". Now we have a minority government though (best kind, keeps em on their toes) and Justin has to kiss ass among the NDP and greens for support. Native support for the liberals and NDP is like African American support for the democrats in the states. They are currently blocking rail lines to put heat on the government, squeeze Justin's nuts for a better deal sort of thing.
Abortion is a non issue in Canada, we have religious loonies too, but in far fewer numbers.

Native support for the left wing parties is like that in Canada, a demand for equal treatment and a place at the table of the future, respect. Natives became important to the liberal government as a ploy to keep Quebec in Canada, "if Canada is divisible, so too is Quebec", natives are under federal control and like the feds, even more in the past few decades! Most of Quebec is native land especially up north where the resources and hydro are and if they pulled the pin on Canada the natives will go with Canada, the UN would approve of this too. Since then natives have become an important part of the political mix here, many bands run successful enterprises etc.

I'm all for universal health care.. but bernie had his whole life to make a workable plan to invoke it. There is none. Bernis got my vote If he wins primary. But primary I'm going Warren or Biden
