im looking to put 2 630w over my 4x8 tray, I know theres dimlix, nanolux, growerschoice, sunsystems and more but which is best? is it better to get a fixture that takes a single 630w double ended bulb or one that takes 2 315w bulbs? is 3000k red better than 3100k for flower? any help is appreciated

so far from what i have read and seen the singles are better you get more light from 2 315w then you do a single 630w. but i would more info as well im looking at getting one myself and wondering about the 3000k vs 3100k

yeah i been thinking 2 315w are better but i wonder because i know a double ended hps is better than a regular bulb hps. from what i can tell on the website the 3000k is better for flower. im also going to try calling growerschoice tomorrow to see what their suggestions are because they sell the a 630 with 2 bulbs and a 630 with 1 de bulb

If you stuff 2 lights into 1 hood you are restricted to the foot print of 1 hood. 2 bulbs 2 hoods = more versatility. to adjust your footprint.

4 fixtures
4 @315cmh

Im currently running the Philips 3100k straight threw, adjusting light cycle.
I am noting that i would like a little more light; I am illuminating a 4x4 space.

I debated aswell when buying my light and in the end i decided a 630 wasnt worth it.
its better to have the bulbs verticle.
the separate fixture allows for more light distribution.
And all this is;
In my opinion, from my findings on riu

I now contimplating a secound fixture of the same, or sourcing out the socket base and having a secound bulb hang vertically.

i have a couple sun system 315w now... the problem is if i went all 315w then i would get six 315w fixtures (not 4) per tray instead of two 630w fixtures but it costs like 3x to do that.. maybe the 630w is just better for 6'x3' trays
