best aerogarden to use

talk about someone looking to get banned.
there are obviously many different ways to grow this stuff. i firmly believe that every individual can ALWAYS find a PERFECT way for just about anything in life that is specific to them.

some people learn and have good luck with the AG. good for them. some try and find a better way. good for them.

try to keep it more constructive. things grow better that way. for someone who is a weekend smoker, maybe 4oz of hydro is enough for a year.

relax, smoke some and laugh at the "noob AG growers" in the background.
i am sure if we want full scale or SOG or 4 ounces a day, we will ask.

p.s. thanks for your opinion.
Well that's a respectable answer, I do believe people should be able to do whatever they want, but if I have a chance to open someone's eyes to bigger and better things then why not, ya know? If I can come up with a better option for someone that produces better yeild and still fits their circumstances then I feel like I at least helped someone.

gengis is right about one thing.

the earlier models are not equipped with enough lights and needs modification.

the upgraded models seem to have worked out some of the kinks, although it never hurts to add more.

BUT, i have read a post here about some fine plants grown with just the upgraded model AG with no additives or mods.

in my opinion, get the best model if you have money to burn or dont want to put in the effort of building your own, BUT if you have the motivation and don't mind a little research and effort, THEN the money you spend on AG XXX could be used to build a sweet as set up.

i personally got the lowest model and have been adding attachments. now i got the hang of things and i am ready to set up SOG on small scale.
thinking of using the left over AG cups i have to start 4-6 clones.
been working the idea over how to set up for my area.

your choice, are ya lazy or motivated?:spew:
thanks finanly someone with the anser lol

some people want a quick and easy small stealth grow...

You cant really beat the aerogarden for that....

It's plug and play at it's best...

Xtra cfls are not a big deal to add....and if you get an autoflowering strain, your set for smooth sailing, as long as you get some decent nutes and keep the PH steady...

Plus don't forget to do your homework and research on things...

I think the AG is a great way to learn soo much about growing, that only after one grow in the thing, you will have the knowledge to move on to bigger and better if that is what is desired...

I feel the goal for everybody who posts or reads on this site should be to get everybody who smokes to grow their own in any way possible...In this way then can we really make a difference!

what is the best model of the aerogarden to use? and will the bulbs be strong enough for the flowering phase to growing completly in it no other lights?
Yes, if you get the six or seven holes model with the THREE high intensity CFL's. (They're in the hood that mounts on an arm/light stand that extends up to 24 inches). You can buy it like that with the super duper model that has the 24 hours on lighting down to 12/12 for flowering. If you have an older six or seven holes version like I do you can get an upgrade kit with the taller arm/light stand and three lamp hood. stay away from the space savers and the A/G-3. With the exception of the addition of: an aquarium air pump, a figure eight cord and an independent light timer for the older models you can grow some great buds right out of the box.

Just make sure that you get the model with THREE high intensity CFL's in the hood and an arm/light stand that extends up to twenty-four inches. Anything else you can work around and you'll probably love it. I know i love mine.

I have the veggie pro with 3 cfls and the 24 inch arm, so far so good, I'm 4 weeks in and couldn't be happier, but I do need to buy a timer to set it for the flowering phase, right now the lights are on for like 16 hrs a day, but its strange that there is a built in timer, but no way to program it other than switching the type of plant you are growing

Yea but who cares if it's "hydro" if it sucks balls. You're paying what like $150 for the base model to grow some shitty leggy weed plants that are gonna have so many problems when you could build a better system for way less or even just grow in soil for like under $20 and get better results. Don't bother lol.
Not if you know what you're doing.

I got the AG 200 Pro. Has an extra light where some has fewer and the lights will move up higher than some. You can raise em two feet I think. Sure been some folks showing off some nice looking killer weed which come from them things..but do think you will need extra lights or different lights for flowering. I aint into flowering yet but I just been adding some of the high wattage curly tail CFL clamp lights. Some say the cfls will work others nag about it. Think if I had it to do over again I would invest in some good lights and hempy buckets.

Big Wheel
You've got the right model if you have the three lamp hood. Instead of extra lighting why don't you try some inexpensive mirrors from Home Depot and prop them on a slight incline so they reflect the light back up. It works for me. I don't like the power company.

we tried the 200 pro model and two plants is all that you can grow. after you start flowering two weeks or so, you need to remove the their lighting system and replace it with a HPS 250 or so. we did and it worked okay, not great, but okay. got about 4 oz from the two. used our own organic ferts not their stuff. probably made the difference in yield. use soil, more forgiving and easier to deal with...our own opinion of course.

I just visited their web site and it looks like you now have two practical choices: the white Aerogarden deluxe and the apparently totally self contained Aerogarden Pro 200. The Pro 200 also comes with a master gardener Kit and gourmet herbs. They both extend the three lamp hood up to 24 inches and have internal adjustable light timers programmable to 24 hours on and the pro is programmable down to 12 and 12 to force flowering. You might see this for yourself at their website at: www.aerogardenstore.com along with a lot of other goodies they have to make your life considerably easier. I have the older seven hole model and I have to use remote light timer to force flowering and I bought an upgrade kit for better lighting, (3 high intensity CFL's), with a taller stand that those already come with. The new stuff looks a lot more user friendly for what we want and I still love the compactness of it. Before this starts to sound like an infomercial I have to warn you that Aerogardens were not designed to grow M/J but we sure can. Good luck.
