wormsway is having a sale on the boss hog ceramic diffuser - I may take the opportunity to switch to them.
Does anyone have any pics of the bubble action from these? And how many would you need for a 30 gal tote?wormsway is having a sale on the boss hog ceramic diffuser - I may take the opportunity to switch to them.
It would depend on what you wanted the bubble action to do - if just oxygenate I'd say 2, if to drive the feeding until roots are in the water probably 4. I plan to use 2 of those doubles in 6 gal of water.Does anyone have any pics of the bubble action from these? And how many would you need for a 30 gal tote?
I agree there, those air stones are the nicest I have ever usedI do DWC and i only use micro-pore diffusers.

Well worth the money, it will last forever
you've posted on a very old thread my friend , and yes those micropores are shit when they clog, very nice out of the bag but after a grow the company will sell you a rejuvenator(chemical) to make them good as new, possibly the stuff the guy up there mentioned. From what I read from the Aquarium guys, it isn't the bubbles, it's the fact the bubbles disturb the surface tension, and add to the area, you can do the same thing with an aquarium power head without the noise of the air stones, and yes like a lot of people have said air stones are a hassle luckily you can get the same effect from another hobby for less than those micro pores for sure, and I'm guessing since the power head has a better agitation effect, you will have more oxygen in your water.
