Just want to give you a heads up about the reverse, it has been pulled from the shelves there is some serious shit inside that little bottle and if you value your health I wouldn't spray it ever again. Usually im not so fanatic about a product but if you google it you will find the truth.
It is still available in most places, certainly here in CO. While it is true that Ethephon, which is the active ingredient in reverse, is technically an artificial PGR, many of which are seriously dangerous to use on plants intended for human consumption, ethephon is rapidly metabolized by the plant into ethylene, a compound that is naturally occurring in plants. For this reason, ethephon is used on all kinds of commercial crops including pineapple, wheat, rice, and non-food crops such as tobacco and cotton. Not that its totally harmless, but as far as PGRs go, its nowhere near as harmful as something like paclobutrazol (found in products such as Bush Load, Flower Dragon, or Phosphoload) which ABSOLUTELY SHOULD NOT BE USED ON CROPS INTENDED FOR CONSUMPTION OF ANY KIND. I'm also fairly sure that Reverse specifically instructs users to not use the product too far into the flowering/fruiting stage of plants. I've used reverse, but only on plants that were in the extremely early stages of bud production, It is an eye and skin irritant, but studies have found it to be non-carcinogenic, as opposed to the more well known artificial PGRs.
