Best genetics, hands down?

Lol...rolling eyes. Subjective, maybe, BUT I'm asking for an individual opinion and skirting around it to that extent probably just means "I really have no idea" or perhaps "I am not willing to share". In either case, why do you even respond? I appreciate those actually helping.

More than anything I dont think it matters. I think everyone should decide the traits they personally want and look for strains that have those traits.

a lot of times the huge colas are kinda larffy so i look for something a bit more compact.

It's up to everyone to do their own homework since they are the ones grading their work at the end why cheat off someone else with different tastes.
I agree to some extent...just trying to avoid bad genetics/seedbanks, as I've been burned alot and genetics are like a foundation for success. That's all. I respect this response

So what to avoid?

That's hard to say. I myself have basically stuck with breeders that have been around for a long time. Mostly European breeders. Sensi, ACE, Dutch Passion, etc... And I am mainly a landrace guy because I like to make my own strains. I'm not interested in all these new strains that are crosses of crosses of crosses. My most recent purchases have been The Real Seed Company genetics. Probably not what most people want but landrace strains many of them hand sourced at point of origin. I'm not interested in the latest Double Tootie Fruity Bubblegum Pineapple Chocolate Cookies Haze Diesel Destroyer. I'd much rather grow and smoke the original strains from Hindu Kush, Asia, South America, Africa, etc... than all the hybrids out there. There is nothing wrong with hybrids and I have made many of my own. But to make a point, the best genetics is subjective to each growers needs and desires. What one may think is the best is something the other has no interest in.

Best Genetics depends on what you want. What I want in genetics might be exactly the opposite.

Since you mention blueberry I can recommend seeds of life blueberry. Atleast I'm pretty sure that's the name of the breeder. Good yield, good flavor.

Right on....see, that is where I need to decide where I stand and need to form MY OWN plan of action. I think at this point I have all of the seedbank reccomendations I need to start looking. I feel the best thing taken out of this is to stick with long-standing companies (many in EU). Thank you all!

I've grown shit loads of strains. Serious Seeds, White Label, Ugorg, Mr. Nice, Barney's Farm, Sensi Seeds. Etc etc.

Hands down the best feminised seeds I've ever used are from Dinafem.

I don't use anything but their fem seeds now. It's not worth the hassle.

Dinafem are Spanish.

Can't praise them enough mate. Critical 2.0 is my latest grow and its going mental in veg. Totally consistent and very fast.

Ive done a few of their seeds before so happy to give you some pointers if you go Dinafem

Didn’t say they weren’t, only talking about my own experience, stuff I have now are from east coast clone sellers. Not as good as seeds from sources I mentioned from late 90s early 2000. I am sure there are amazing stuff now and I hope to learn.....that being said you are another guy who failed to answer the question. Like for real? Young jets talk like thus in real life? All bs no content?
You what now?

I've been pretty clear on my opinion.

You were growing 30 years ago?
First grow was in 1998, and the genetics were shit.

Does this question infer that you think genetics in the 80s were better than they are now?

Never heard that one before. Maybe the seed banks just decided to stop producing good genetics after 1989.

Or perhaps that's bollocks. Just a thought.

Well I've tried a few strains off a few companies and so far I've a couple key choices I've had.
Golden berry by dna genetics was a really really nice one. Loaded with thc and an amazing smell.
Sour patch kiss by elev8 has a little pro and con but is an absolute must try.
Pros: every plant I grew out was the exact same, very very durable plant, tons of veg vitality, clones absolutely exploded and also rooted the fastest. Smell and taste is something else entirely. Must try.
Cons: only half the seeds popped, and it took alot of help to get them to pop.
Other than seed germ rates I have nothing but respect for that strain.

I've got some double stuffed by dna, and some king tutt by pyramid seeds going right now so I'll see how that goes. Just about to flip them to flower and start my next veg run while they flower up. Going to try blackberry dream by Elev8, black dog by humbolt I've tried before and has a great grape smell and gets you feeling nice as well.

Here is a funny story, back in late 1988 sept-oct, a friend ordered from Nevil's seed bank catalogue NL#5x Haze,
4 months later he called to complain his order never arrived. So 3 weeks later a package arrived from the next county over post mark. Said the nl#5 wasn't available so here are some Durban Poison that do well in your area. It was skunk we were already getting locally, not Durban at all. Lol,
So how many times did that happen to all the customers? Local shipped in the states? Alot more times back in the day than most realized.
Today, things have changed. My advice, get the newest fresh drop product you can. After 5 years germ rates go way down. Especially improperly stored seed. Try some sand paper on the edges to help pop rates.

Like list:
Sin city
Dynasty genetics
Ace
Canmibiogen
707 seeds

But my drool list
All out of stock sadly.
Cannardo Sweet Bread
Birthday cake X sundae driver
Dankonomics- Fore Noire
Black Forest Cake X Do-si-do
Harry Palms-Sour banana cookies
Banana do-si-do X sour Dubb
Bay Exclusives- Sherbert Snax
Cherry pie X bubble gum X Galactic Sherbert
I just came a little.
Best advice, read people's threads on stuff that interests you. Lastly, quality of the high. Actually first for me. Don't want blurry eye, or to couchlock. Prefer sativa high, but not to racy. And weed should taste good.
Cheers

Does no one like Nirvanna seeds? I have grown many of their strains without complaint. I know they don't have the large selection of some other banks, but the prices can't be beat, customer service has always been top notch and with the exception of their AK-48 (which most others have no problems with) I have had 100% germ. rate and very nice plants. Hard to say favorite strains for reasons other members have mentioned, but I really like the Papaya, Master Kush (just about any Kush), Super Skunk and my wife loved Wonder Woman. All other strains have been good too and it seems they all yield close to the same. Good luck!
