Best germination method

MAN ! its still going, just to add when we buy seeds we have no idea how long they have been sitting around ( how old they are ) we buy on trust, so when people say '' you only soak old seeds '' but really we know feck all about your purchase. FAC51

1 nutting head will do we get the pic.
Can i just say here i have never used this paper towel method in my life, i soak my seeds in room temp h20 for about 24 hours then straight to rockwool or soil, ive done this for 10 years and never had a prob, so am done here, people can now make up their own minds what to do, nuff said from me...

meh it has gone a bit off topic, but it's all good. this one thread has SO many ideas and will be a good read for someone who wants to know the different methods for germination. personally i'm going to try most of the different methods mentioned here and go by the results, best way of going about it is trial and error, or so i've found lol peace

Use paper towel

Wet until moist

Put seed in the middle of the paper

Fold in Paper towel in half

Put on glass plate and cover with plastic wrap, make sure it is air tight

Check every other day and by day 5 or 6 you should have seeds

Plant in soil

was fine till ridiculous comments like that. Why not shove them up your arse mate. Its dark warm and full of shit, like yourself. Perfect conditions for propogating seeds. If you aint got summit sensible to say, why bother?

Bingo..... I grow a commercial garden and I soak ALL of my seeds overnight in a thermos of warm H20. I normally get 100% germination, and later, 100% growth from it. I've been doing it for YEARS..... okra, corn, beans, greens.... and now MJ. Those seeds love it.

soaking seeds is a waste of time and unnecessary

the results are 100% success on germination this time, using two moist paper towels between two plates and popped in the nice warm cupboard. planted two days ago and already getting quite big! so doing way better this time lol will still be trying out different methods in future though

surprised you got the time for pre soaking seeds in a commercial venture mate. Its time wasted mate, seriously.
