Best Hash Oil

I was wondering what is the best way to finish a batch of oil. After the yellow goo in the pan has finished bubbling I usually set it in pan of hot water and stir it to kick up some more butane and evaporate furthur, after doing this several times over the course of a few days I get a nice butane free product. I see on here alot of people add alcohol, purge, heat, and a number of other things. Could someone explain what are the benifits and how do you end up with highest quality final product? Thanks

Adding alcohol to your fully/semi purged product would only re-contaminate it. Purging is a term used to describe the act of freeing a base product of impurities. This can be done in ways including, heating and stirring and vacuum purging etc. A cleaner and purer product is of course desirable. I think you are already 'purging' to get a purer product and if I am not mistaken you just are reading of other peoples techniques of basically doing what you are already doing but in a different way. As for the best way, the purest I have smoked was BHO that had been whipped and heated into a near budder and then vacuum purged a couple of times to get rid of the last of the impurities. It tasted great, was touchable and easy to work with and the high was great!

Might I suggest cutting down your purge times. There is no need to purge for days, just get a nice pot of warm water and purge about 10-15 minutes per gram of oil. Don't whip until you have a clear oil and yes, you can add alcohol to help the butane evaporate faster 99% iso or lab grade ethanol would work just fine. The highest quality product will not be whipped, though some people still enjoy to whip it for ease of use.

last pan 110 grams... Never had it come out so you can touch it, I usually keep it in a cool place and only mess with it quickly, I'd love it if I could touch it for a few seconds and save a little mess.
Last summer at electric forest I made a huge mess with some oil on a big piece of foil and instead of repackaging it i just ripped to foil into pieces and handed it out like candy, I felt a little bad for getting so much oil all over so many people but felt good for getting oil all over so many people! HA
