I have worked with chemical addiction for many years and yes, you need to take time off. In youth, our liver is busy detoxing at a fast young rate. We are older now and so it builds up in your system and, as you know, in the fat cells of your body. Remember those munchies? They actually helped your body to absorb the THC and all the other chemicals in Cannabis and store it in our fat cells. Every one has fat cells even if you are skinny as a rail. So the THC and its breakdown by products are saturating your body and you require a larger dose to get the effect. I myself actually get to that point and have to detox for a few. Give your body and your mind a break from the weed, drink lots of fluids and get some exercise so your body and flush out all the toxins and stuff, just like we flush our plants before harvest so that we flush out the chemicals (and/or organics too) to make for better smoke. Same goes for you, flushing will make you a better, more content, smoker.I like creating strings to see what comes up. This one is pretty interesting. The majority says it's actually the resistance while at least one says it's in my head. You all may be right. I also think it has something to do with time of day,...how much sleep you've had,...blood sugar,...etc. To answer the question about my consumption rate and longevity,...I've been burning probably 3 joints a day with increases on days off work of course for probably 6 years and on and off...mostly on for 25 years. So I'm saturated. But I also remember way back when I was in school,...I'd be super burnt all the time (between classes of course since I was still a responsible type) and there never seemed to be a "resistance hump" to jump. That was 4 years solid. Maybe youth has something to do with it. Maybe my young mind couldn't play such a mean trick on me as it can now shutting down my fun. Since I don't feel like testing the theory of paying for my own weed to break the mind-fuck I've got on my self, I'll have to either cut back substantially for a while or stop. Niether seems attractive so I may try the gravity bong. Keep the ideas coming though if you have any more. And oh,..what's an Arizer Lizard.King?

"One of the strange and frustrating phenomenon that unfortunately affects marijuana smokers is the tolerance factor. If you smoke enough of a certain strain, or a combination of strains, you will soon get "immune" to that strain/combo. I don't care if your smoking 60% THC bubble hash dipped in honey oil and then rolled in kief, if you've been smoking primarily that combination for a while, you get mostly immune to it. (Trust me, I've been there).
But if you then smoke some other random bud that may not even be particularly good, you will probably get much higher. This must be due to the different cannabinoid profiles. The way I see it, there are only two ways to get around this enemy,
1. Have an unlimited supply of different strains available, perhaps twenty varieties at least, and switch every few days. (Living in Amsterdam is helpful for this.)
2. Smoke less herb.
Crazy as it sounds, this actually works. For a new and occasional smoker, the surest thing to getting higher is to smoke less herb. Then, after a while, this painful and ironic switch happens. Soon, you smoke so much herb that it barely gets you high at all anymore. Ironically, if you cut back and smoke less herb, it will actually get you higher, We live in a very mysterious world.
Take a quick look at any of the major seedbanks (http://www.amsterdammarijuanaseedbank.com/seedshop/strains/White-widow-feminized.html) and they all say that White Widow is the strongest weed in the world. Are they all involved in a conspiracy to sell WW seeds or is it actually the strongest weed in the world? (I've never tried it)the problem is wite widow looks better than it really is. its all stalks and not enough tric.s, if you look close the reason the shit looks so white is the stalks on the thc glands are about twice as long as other genetics, this can fool a lot of people.
try a good strain
