Best indoor strain for treating Anxiety, Insomnia and Depression

Hi guys, I'm a new grower with a small indoor setup and I suffer from really bad anxiety and insomnia. A few days ago I had a major panic attack during the night, so bad I thought I was having a heart attack! chest pain, neck pain, numbness... all that jazz. I had to ride it out all night and went to see a GP later that day, my heart was fine.

I'm looking for a strain that gives maximum relief in anxiety, stress, depression and insomnia. Something that takes my worries away and help me relax. Ideally on the cheap side as well as I'm inexperienced so I'll have to buy 5~10 and I don't have a lot of money (max budget $50).

If you could take the time to give me your recommendations I would really appreciate it.

ps : bonus question, how do you know seed shops aren't sending you random seeds when you buy from them? I was thinking of ordering through bonza seed, would you recommend them?

ask to have them left in the breeders packs. if you're stateside there are places that will ship in breeder's packs...glg, svoc

I've read that blueberry is good for anxiety. you probably want an indica or indica dominant plant with some CBDs...

bodhi seeds - sunshine day dream, dank sinatra, tranquil elephantizer, jabba's stash, dank zappa
hazeman - madness, white g13/hp, deep chunk (monkey balls), fugu kush
motarebel - white out, romberry


hazeman/motarebel are around $60. don't think you'll find that many around $50. hope that helps!

I've been using Dinafem Amnesia for a long while. I only smoke in the evenings tho, it's great for sleep and giving you a dreamy high. I don't smoke at work at all or when out and about. It may be me but, it's pretty potent. I will get kind of paranoid if I'm out and about. Anyway, I'm sure there are lots of great strains.

As for the other Q. I think about that myself a lot. I don't think there is really anyway to tell if you are getting the real deal. I would say find a bank you trust and stick with it. I always get anxiety like a mofo when I order seeds bro.

amnisia is OK for it but i am finding the high CBD strains are the ticket . there is a study where the findins are cbd is as good as anti deppressents ... http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24923339
Studies involving animal models, performing a variety of experiments on the above-mentioned disorders, such as the forced swimming test (FST), elevated plus maze (EPM) and Vogel conflict test (VCT), suggest that CBD exhibited an anti-anxiety and antidepressant effects in animal models discussed. Experiments with CBD demonstrated non-activation of neuroreceptors CB1 and CB2. Most of the studies demonstrated a good interaction between CBD and the 5-HT1A neuro-receptor.

'At last a Life' is a book on dealing with this problem. Very good. SAD from Sweet Seeds is my current go to strain for mellow buzz. I have a few hybrid or sativa strains in the works but indicas are the ticket for now. Mostly you need to deal with this without pot though.

Thanks for your answers everyone I appreciate it!

After reviewing my option I'm thinking of getting some reg THC bomb, Hash Bomb or Berry Bomb from Bomb Seed (they are around $3-5/each but still have very good reviews) and maybe later next grow a Strain that is High in CBD (perhaps one from CBD Crew) to see if the CBD actually helps more than the THC for anxiety. Unfortunately I don't have enough space to do both at the same time so I'll try the less expensive ones first.

I'll have a look into that book as well thanks for the recommendation!

I have been looking into two low-THC strains. The first is a strain made by Barney's seeds called "CBD-Critical Cure". It has a rough estimate THC content of 5.5% and a CBD content of 8%. The second strain I've been looking into is made by MSNL called "Cannatonic". It has a rough estimate THC content of 8% and a CBD content of 8%. Anyone out there have any experience with either of these strains?
