Mars helped me out by selling me infeior leds if it wasn't for them I couldn't do this

Im in the process of building my light, I spent a total of $150 so far. Any more expense will be aluminum Pricing, spray paint, Going to Lowes, Im looking at at least $80 for what I need. Going to call around tomorrow for better pricing for that...

But as of now, Everything is ordered and on the way and will have everything but the aluminum.

Using LED strips, 320 watts, mock run gave me great numbers.
This was a mock run, without heatsink, and only 18 strips, So adding 2 more strips to these numbers.

at 12 inches, 800 par, 43,000 lux
at 24 inches, 500 par edges, 600 par center, 32,000 lux
at 36 inches, 400 par, 20,000 lux , very little change from edges.

How do you get the idea that simple 5630smd diodes(100-120lm/w @150mA), which are installed in these strips, come to over 200lm/w? These are not even Samsung diodes ...

A single F-Series strip is a lot brighter as one of these double row strips.

BTW,
I have the single row ebay strips(50cm, 3.000°k, with heatsink+diffuser) hanging in the kitchen above my workbench, 5,68$, 7.2w and maybe 700-800lm, more definitely not!!!

So even in the very best case it is only 800lm : 7,2w =111lm/w!

Do not be blinded by the appearance of these stripes, they do not keep what they promise. The 12v operation alone makes them more inefficient than constant current strips like the samsungs.

your light release white light, wht i know about the grow light is they got red ot purple light that contain UV/IR. Meanwhile many kinds of grow lights have cob modle. so it's easy to get a 200lm/w.

I have referred to the post above my and the double row strips!

And it's not as easy as you think to get +200lm/w or above 60% effiency at system level, even with low driven mono's or COB's. You need a hell lot of LED's driven really low (below 350mA) to reach that. Remember, you need to drive a QB302 at only 350mA to reach this effiency level. Cree XP-E HE photored diodes, group29/C1(top bin) needs to get only 175mA to match 60%
and the most 36v COB's needs to be driven at around 500mA for 60%.
It's not hard but very expensive...

BTW, red, purple, IR or FR are not as efficient as the best white LED's and does not or have little effect on lumen measuring.

Edit: Okay, so nobody is going to recommend original vero 18 but that's mostly because it was replaced by another product. It doesn't change the fact that old vero 18 3500k at 700mA are ~40% efficiency and can stand up to gavita W for W. If you want real crap, go check the fluorescent section or buy a shit quality blurple panel like MARS.

I'm happy with you that you build your own DIY lamp but please stay at the truth. This way you could earn a lot more respect from well known members as when you act like guru and claim your light is 211lm/w!

The fkn ad said 45 lm per fkn diode, and 72x 45 is = 3240 PER fkn strip at 15w is 216 fkn lm per watt. Times 1440 diodes is 64,800 lms. for the entire rig.

These strips are less than 1600lm at 14,4w and you still claim it 45lm/LED..? 45lm @ max. cuurent 150mA or 0,5w per diode. They ran at 50-60mA and come close to 15-18lm/diode.
People here like to know the truth. @zejy (OP) don't ask in the first post what the best light for under 200 bucks is to get false informations, he want true values. Stop posting nonsense or open an own thread about your incredible bright super strip light or better ask your mother if she really teached you to act like a bigmouth.

Lumens per watt are a common method to describe white LED effiency.
Therefor I said 200lm/w or above 60% effiency.
Seems you can not handle the truth and now you try to twist my words to not look like a fully idiot.
Yeah, in in terms of growing indoors every single watt and lumens counts!
