best light bulbs for your money?

Just cut clones yesterday, getting prepped for my next run. Planning to replace my bulbs for this one and was just wondering what you guys recommend. I'm currently using two 1000w HPS for bloom and one 1000w MH for veg. My bulbs are no-name/whatever came with the lights. They have only been used for one grow and definitely have some life left but after visiting a buddy's grow, I realized my lights seemed pretty dull. I'm assuming this is from cheap bulbs. What do you guys use? I'm not too worried with price, as long as it's worth it.

buddy turned me onto Ushio while back and ive been using them for over a year they are bad ass! I have heard eye hortilux are good as well. these are both expensive bulbs but I believe worth it, I have always used high priced name brand bulbs and my reasoning behind that is you're gonna invest so much money in your grow do you really want to cut corners on something as important as a bulb.... Try Ushio I bet you wont be disappointed.....Could also be a cheap ballast you're running which would make a difference as well... I use Galaxy 1000 select a watt they are very very nice....

Based on this info I went with Ushio, but my usual was Digilux. My decision was because of the PAR ratings on the outside edges of the footprint. Amazon had them for a little over $50 each.

I'm a big believer in Hortilux.

Hortilux eye are probably the best for 1000w hps bulbs and ushio a very close 2nd place runner up. I think they are pretty close to the same price. You'll find many comparison studies that prove the hortilux beats all bulbs but the ushio is always very close.

Depends what ur spending, Hortilux eyes are top tier, ushio seems to land in 2nd.... but IMHO, I fucking love my cheap ass iPower bulbs.... The light/color is great, I get great results (I run 600s n 400s) and @ like $20 a bulb, I only run them one or two 'seasons' as it were, then they go into the 'just in case' pile..... (In case a bulb dies, breaks, etc.)
