Best light coverage for 10x5x6 tent

2 of these 480w drivers

28-36 strips from cutter( same strips i built my lights with)

at 14 strips per 480w driver , you will be running them at 34w per strip, thats a good efficient number while keeping the cost somewhat in check...The more strips you add, the softer they can run but it ups the cost ofcourse. I use 18 per 480w driver to give you an idea
Well damn, you’re not playin around as that was quick lol. I can’t explain how much I appreciate your help and guidance with this!

ya man, id get a pile of the bridgelux gen 2s now before they are discontinued, they are perfect veg strips at 4000/5000k and they are nicely priced, especially since they released the new gen 3s, but for veg, the gen 2s are ideal.

16 of the 560mm 4000k for a 4x4 should be nice

yup for sure...my only advice/change i would make to my lights would be building 2 separate lights rather than 1 big one. Just for versatility...also much easier wiring and controlling the chaos lol

If your paying to heat your basement you might want to consider a couple of 630cmh in there.

No more rabbit holes lol

This is also good info OP....Corey is right, if heat is truly a concern, you might be better off with cmh or even hps.

Leds give off no ir, so plants require much warmer temps in led rooms. If you think its gonna be too cold, you might be better off with one of the warmer suns lol

true facts I have to run my room 82f or my plants just dont have the growth they should

Ya i run mine at 84.5f and 60/70rh on a controller with 2.0 deadband....ill keep those temps until last few weeks of flower when ill gradually start lowering temps and rh
I keep mine at 78f and about 55% rh. Should I be running warmer?

With those strips being 3000k, wouldn’t I need some in the 5000-6000k as well for a good mixture? Just curious

Ya you can always buy the 3500k strips if you want or you can mix som high K with the 3000ks, thats totally up to you.

I usually veg my plants under MH for a few weeks , then a few more weeks under my 3000ks before i flip, plants seem to grow normally under both, so its not really much of a concern to me

Im sure those temps work fine( they are perfect for hps and cmh), also sure a bit warmer would work even better. Leds lack ir, plants need warmer temps to make up for it.

i wouldnt go much lower than 81-82 during veg and early flower. It helps transpiration and allows them to drink/eat more.

I only use a little 500w space heater and it brings temps up quickly so I’m not too concerned with that, plus when temps rise here I won’t need to use much if at all.

The cheap led’s I’m using now ( that I got from a friend ) have IR but least I know now for after I build my led lights to run warmer. I just tnought there was a better possibility for mold etc with too high of temps and RH

Well i live in a cold ass place too, our winters are nasty. I can run 960w in my 7x14 room and never have to worry about the exhaust kicking on because of temps rising, now in the summer at full blast the exhaust and intake were both working quite a bit, but still nothing to worry about, never once did i consider getting a/c. As far as im concerned, growing with Leds is easy for getting the environment under control and within good stable ranges.

Well there is for sure, you have to take other precautions, my room is like a mini hurricane, massive air flow is needed. As i mentioned before, i also start dropping temps and rh once the buds start fattening up and becoming prime targets for rot/pm/mould etc...

Well again, I truly appreciate al, your replies and help bud! I have to try and get at least a couple hours of sleep so I don’t look all messed up in front of the judge lol. I’ll contact you later on today! Thanks again brotha!

Hey bud @diggs99, how you doin? So below is what I have in my cart but now I’m confused on what I mount them to as far as board wise? View attachment 4438209

are you referring to heatsinks or the frame?

You can use proper heatsinks from Cutter or from heatsinkusa....or you could just go to your local building supply store and get some aluminum u channel, or some angled steel to make your frame and your sinks. Totally up to you and how much you want to spend.
