Sounds like there's a lot of different options. I will try and do some researching. I just was curious what people in the growing community were using.
Your going to get die hard led people saying led only then you will have the die hard hps people.it really comes down to what you want to use. Leds cheaper to run less heat more up front cost. Hps cheap to buy more heat replace bulbs once a year but paved the way for indoor growing.

TBH
I bought a few growlush bulbs, a while back to get me out of trouble. Been using them ever since.
They cost 30 bucks each. Flower dongas too.
Im a week into flower if you want an example. They're damn decent bulb tbh.

Second run, with the same bulb.
Probably need a fresh one next bloom.
The seeds broke ground 28 January.
They were 12 inches tall when I flipped.
Vegged under the same hood.
Good at the same height too.
I've got the opposite problem to you. My space gets too cold to heat the room. I have to heat the tent.
Get a big cool tube. Your heat will be fine.
You have to have great extraction though. Not for your temps so much as your roots

Im a little jealous of some peoples space man.
If i could heat the room id have more tent space.
But i cant or it costs more than the tent itself to run.

I think i heard somewhere that ou have to replace the bulbs after a grow, and that their a pretty penny... whats ur thoughts?
No mate like 6-12 months like gorilla said but I usually just run them until they break and I have no problem. Hydro shops say you need to change every 6 months but I think they just say that to get more money out of you.

I hear that bro! Seems like people always want what the neighbors got. lol.
Lol yeah.
Honestly ive had the same hood, and ballast for over a year.
I bought a kit for $200. To get me out of the shit, from a dodgy led.
200 got me the cooltube reflector hood, inline fan, digital ballast, and bulb.
If you get a cheap ballast grab a few rfi clips, for your cords. All the digital ballasts can interfere with am radio

Are the fixtures much to replace though?
Do the ceramics get hot?
They're pretty new to me.
Thanks man
Not sure what you mean by fixtures mate. You just screw them in the same way you screw the HPS. The bulbs are similar price to HPS but they last longer for me. I don’t bother with expensive brands they do pretty much the same thing your just paying for the name.

Thats how i found out.
Only affected my house.
Some have been known to do it for blocks.
Some have been busted like this too.
But the clips cost 4 bucks each from ebay or Amazon.
