Lmk 1500 budget ; )
Leds are not the future, dont be so shortsighted, theres more powerfull tech on the horizon if you ever leave your bubble of hype.LED's are the future of grow lighting.
Learn to DIY and you can build a light for 1/2 the price and you will never have to buy another bulb or ballast, not to mention, instant savings on electric bill.
I've been building DIY lights for myself for about 3 years now.
Once I hooked the 1st light up and it worked and the response from the plants is what shocked me. They loved it! End of story.
Happy Thankgiving!
I have 4 or 5 1000 watters, HPS's Do you wanna buy for cheap? Have you run LEDs? I'll never go back. Just ask LED owners how things are growing.Leds are not the future, dont be so shortsighted, theres more powerfull tech on the horizon if you ever leave your bubble of hype.
Most Uk shops have already ditched leds but lets not dent your personal elected opinion even more.
Any led user not singing from the same marketing sheet?
I stick to old school 1k hps I might consider LED one day just to try it but why fix what isn’t brokenI have 4 or 5 1000 watters, HPS's Do you wanna buy for cheap? Have you run LEDs? I'll never go back. Just ask LED owners how things are growing.
It's the best investment I made besides great genetics. Wasn't trying to started an argument, but people always want to run LEDs down for some reason. I have control over that plant so much better.
Just my .02
I definitely agree with you. HPS is great lighting. I got interested in LEDs and seen the potential. So I learned to build them. Yes, they are expensive, to a point. There is a lot of long term savings is the nice part. They last 15 years if you take care of them. How much is 15 years of Hortilux Eyes? And Ballast replacement? But I am still chugging along, with lower electric bills. It was just common sense for me to switch. It's all about the plant at the end of the day, whether it's HPS, LED, or whatever that guy was talking about the UKers are switching to. Not sure what he is talking about.I stick to old school 1k hps I might consider LED one day just to try it but why fix what isn’t broken
Yup agree like I’ll eventual dabble with LEDs but hps gives me that yield and lighting I desire but hey if it works for you it works for you for me cost of maintenance doesn’t bother me it pays for its self just like an oil changeI definitely agree with you. We are all after the same goal, we all have different ways to get there.Yup agree like I’ll eventual dabble with LEDs but hps gives me that yield and lighting I desire but hey if it works for you it works for you for me cost of maintenance doesn’t bother me it pays for its self just like an oil change

COBS and Quantum boards and variations on these will be the future of lighting.Leds are not the future, dont be so shortsighted, theres more powerfull tech on the horizon if you ever leave your bubble of hype.

Nah. Wanting to upgrade to 5×5 room later , maybe less heat would be nice so I won't have to worry about extracting..do you have any heat or space restrictions? concerns of power draw?
LEDs die too, and when they go it's not as simple as replacing a bulb. They don't last 15 years they last 5-10 years max, diodes are rated for 50k hours, which they rarely last to, i just had a diode go out on my cree LED i have had about 5 years.I definitely agree with you.
