Best light setup for yield 20×20 room

Again, you're wrong.

The only advancement in HID lighting in the past couple decades was DE bulbs.

Meanwhile, LEDs(COBs and PCBs) do outperform HID lights. That's not even a watt for watt comparison. They're more efficient, and with current technology, you can replace a 1000 watt light with about seven or eight hundred watts of quality LEDs. That is a fact.

About a year ago, I switched out 2 600s with 950 watts of COBs. I'm getting the exact same numbers I was getting before while consuming 250 less watts. I also don't have to replace Hortilux bulbs every 12 months. Also keep in mind that I eliminated an additional 100 watts when I no longer needed the fan that was cooling the hoods.
lol ok so im wrong how? did i not say they havent changed, yes i stated that, did i not say youll have to use multiple fixtures to equal one, yes i did, did i say there are only 2 reason which would be energy savings and heat, you couldve replaced those 600s with 2 315 cmh and been fine with only 630w :) or even 2 400w lights at 800w :) still less and will produce the same if not more

Then you probably used shit LEDs.
can you read my post lol twice now youve been wrong with replying to what i even stated, the facctory replaced theirs with led and they absolutly sucked didck my friend. and i doubt they used shitty leds to light a factory

Ummm, what???

" in my experience the suck when replacing an hps or mh"

You stated that people don't turn to them for production. That doesn't make sense when you consider that watt for watt, they outperform HID.

The rest of your post is nonsense. 315s don't replace 600s. They come close in terms of performance, but they're honestly closer to a 500 watt HID - if such a thing existed. And no, 630 watts of ceramic is not going to outperform 950 watts of COBs.

Could you please explain how 2 400 watt lights are going to outperform 2 600s? Or were you trying to claim that 2 400s will out perform 950 watts of COBs? If that is what you're trying to claim, then you're high on crack.

not a marijuana factory, they were terrible and the whole place looked dim compared to the rest of it that hadnt been replaced yet and when they replaced them all they had to install lights at each station bc they couldnt see anymore it doesnt cast like an hps and no people usually dont go to led lights for increase in yields

would be the same as a 600, ask people who grow with 600w and 400w or 315w, they cover a 4x4 all of them, you get very very comparable yields between all 3

Match HPS? I SMASH hps. lol. I get double the weight that most guys get from 1000w hps using 750 watts of COB led over a 4x4.
i wouldnt put a 1000w in a 4x4 tent thats probably their first mistake, regardless if its air cooled or not the radiant heat it puts off alone you cant keep thm as close.

LOL

If an LED outperforms an HID watt for watt, then yes, people do turn to them to increase production. How is that not getting through to you?

a 20x20? you better be going HID or custom built cobs. Ide want at least 1800-2k watts

Dude, just, no. You're tripping.

I know people personally who have replaced 600s with 315s, and all of them say they get 10 to 20% less in weight. That's great though, as you're cutting power in half. but nobody I've talked to says that they are getting the same yields. Two 315s will smoke a 600, but some of that has to do with spreading the light source out.

Thinking a 400 will perform the same as a 6 is just plain stupid. When you get below 600 watts in the HID world, efficiency decreases by quite a bit

i haven't used a 315, but i started with 400s, and went to 600s, and the yield is almost twice what the 400s brought in, while my electric bill went up about 10%......

i thought the same thing but then i switched back for a while to the 400 and just had a better spot in general and i pulled damn near not exactly but very close to the same maybe an ounce difference

i think the better spot in general may be responsible. i've been in the same tent with pretty much the same conditions the whole way, and saw a big difference
