best lights to use with regular house sockets?

im on my second grow my first grow was romulan it gave me an just an ounce because im growing under 2700k cfl lights was wondering what else i could use?

you may be doing the best you can with the household socket, no HID's in those(that i've heard of)
there are some LED's that would work, but those seem to have a so so reputation

Alright thanks for the info.

HIDs work in regular sockets, you just have to make sure you don't overload the circuit. A 1000W HPS light pulls like 9.5A of 120V current. Most circuits are 15A and you shouldn't use more than like 80% of that so you need another circuit to run all the other electronics.
