hi, only new to coco/perlite medium & have made some stuffups combining organic & coco specific nutes, have found that using Canna Coco A & B formula is hardly enough to make a plant thrive, & notice very smallish buds as a result, am experimenting with a new line ATM

hoping people can offer their own successful nute regime + some do's & donts with growing in coco

I've had really good results with the GH Floro series. You'll need to suppliment the coco with CalMag.

That’s more likely your genetics or environment than your nutes. Many excellent grows have been completed with Canna nutes. I don’t use them, never have.
Your lights, temperatures, relative humidity, grow medium, pH, and other factors are more likely to be the cause.

As far as dos and don’ts?

Do use calmag of some kind unless you know your water’s precise kH. Carbonate hardness, aquarium hobbyists know this shit.

Do rinse any brick coco.
I am a fan of adding perlite to it.

pH your solution, 5.8-6.2...

Nothing else.

there's several people here that use jack's. the citrus is popular, but i'm actually looking at some of the other blends, i think the citrus has too much P for flower

thanks for those tips Mike, i think the people who had good success with the Canna Coco A & B were using all the other additives such as CannaBoost/Cannzym/Rhizotonic/PK 13-14, because ive been dosing the plants with 1000ppm of only the Canna Coco A & B and im seeing very lacklustre veg growth & bloom results, i know the strain im growing well & usually get bud four times larger using other grow methods, what im saying is...Canna Coco A & B by itself is very tame in its results!

Not true. Ive had great success and never used any of cannas other stuff. I have used other minor additions but you dont even say what kind of lights you have. You need to understand that nutrients are not the fuel/food for the plants, the lights are nutrients. The nutrients are just the vitamins.

check out H3AD's formula for coco: GH micro, bloom and epsom salts. leave out the grow similar to Lucas Formula

sounds great, im only using 10ml of micro & 20ml of bloom per 10 litres, and plants are looking real good 37 days into bloom...doesnt get anymore economical than that
