Best OG genetics?

You got to believe the most reliable KUSH come form Holland via Middle East. So check out some of the breeders in Holland etc. Hermies because of the "Female" seed production. The methods many people use create unstable results; hence, hermies etc.
So to my understanding the OG kush line has a tendency to hermie. Now In the last couple years every other breeder has their own Og available in seed. WHo has the most stable is the question at hand. Pheno variation isnt to much a problem, more I dont want hermies. Who has grown Which OG line with great success and no hermies?

Raceboy has some good advice and it's obvious he walks the walk. For the most part I would have to agree with what he has said, but being a self proclaimed breeder and production cloner I have mostly the same veiws but perhaps from a different angle. When racerboy talks about bringing in clones from an outside source and the risk of infecting your room he's right, but there's a lot more to it than that. Anytime you bring in ANYTHING for an OUTSIDE source you risk infecting your garden whether that be used equipment, people, plants, or other. Lets just say we distributed seedlings instead of clones from the same facility, if we didn't have our rooms in tip top shape we would be putting our patients in the same risk category as with clones. An infection is a infection regardless of how it arrose. I do realize that there are very few if anybody who distributes seedlings much like we do clones, so I guess it's easy to argue against my point seeming most everyone deals with clones.

As far as the best OG genetics goes, this is a topic that will have a bunch of oppinions so it's probably best to do your own research AND take in what other people have said and make your decision based on that. It seems like every breeder has at least one OG Kush pheno they use in their genetics (okay maybe not Sub), and most everyone feels their cut is supperior to the others. Our garden has a bunch of OG Kush genetics ranging from SAC#3 to Platinum OG Kush and each one has it's advantages over one of the others. With most OG Kush pheno's you're going to get great potency, moderate yield, and pretty good stability. However there are definate phenos that are exceptions; Swerve's Tahoe OG doesn't yield that well at all compared to most other OG Kush varieties. Our SAC#3 is amazing in every way except the yield, but we don't grow it for yield we grow it because it's some of the best weed I've ever seen. We have a Platinum Purple OG Kush that we bread ourselves, it yields extremely well, is as stable as stable gets, and is just as gooey as anything I've ever seen. Like Racerboy has said earlier there are cuts of OG that you should stay away from, as well as the rest of that breeders lines due to problems that have occured over the years. Every breeder is going to run into issues with their genetics from time to time whether it be the stability of them, the potency being bread out of them, or other issues that plague them, it's what they do with the issues and whether or not they get resolved that makes all the difference to the patients or customers.

If I was going to grow only one OG Kush phenotype or cut in my garden and did not have access to some of the more rare cuts I would grow Chem Valley Kush from Cali Connection. It's a good stable representation of what OG Kush can or should be like in my oppinion. Matthew Riot (love him or hate him) has some good genetics that are worth taking a look at such as Black Mango Kush, pre 98 bubba kush crossed with SAC#3 and Platinum Banana Kush. We received our SAC#3 cut from another breeder who has ties to the same cuts Matthew does. Riserva Privada's OG Kush #18 is another good one as said above. Anyways like I said earlier when it comes down to the OG Kush line you're going to end up with as many different oppionins as there are claimed OG Kush cuts in this world. LOL! Good Luck with your venture, and I hope the dankest of dank finds it's way into your garden!

Stay Medicated,

PS: Sorry if my post is a bit jumbled this SAC#3 BHO is making my fucking head spin, probably not the best time to give advice...

West Coast Cultivation, Thank you. Very nice advice. Racerboy, you too. Thank you. I will try the chem valley or the deadhead I guess. I wish you the best of luck West Coast, I see you are new here. I hope you get plenty of love and support. I look forward to seeing what you do and put forward to the community. Again, Thank you for the advice everyone.

How is the SAC#3 in comparison to Tahoe og? It sure sounds fire but I've personally never heard of this particular og, fill me in wcc

dog kush from breeders boutique. this is the best kush i have smoked.

they are only available in fem at the minute, work is being done to produce reg seeds in the future so for those scared of hermies and willing to put a bit of work in this should be for you.

my dog does throw out nanners left right and centre, they seem to be jaffas however because i have never got any seeds from it.

dog kush from breeders boutique is definately one to try for all kush lovers!

I've never been a big OG person, but I love growing The OG #18. As for OG Kush hermi problems, I don't know. I always felt that a lot of it was the grower's fault.

The SAC is a low yielding kush that turns almost a greyish silver color on top of a deep plum color. It has two pheno's one of them being "grape" which is the less desired pheno but absolutely screams grapes smell and taste. I think the grape pheno also yields a little better. The other pheno is one of the gooiest strains I've ever grown, she smells like Trix cereal and the taste is pretty grape, so I can only imagine the grape pheno's taste! Anyways it's a fairly hard cut to obtain, but Riot seeds has them and he has a bunch of good genentics crossed with the SAC#3. Hope this helps some.

Paul N chuck,
The CVK is a pretty badass strain. It's got a place in my garden thats for sure. The buds get super frosty and pretty narly tops. Yields well, grows fast enough, fairly pest resistant and just a good looking strain. The Deadhead grow a bit bigger, so if height is an issue you may want to look into some sort of training. I just went an watered my green house this morning and my platinum purple og kush plants are beggining to bud nicely, sucks it's gonna go into October but that's mother nature for ya. I'll put up some pics later as some of the purpling is pretty bad ass looking. Good luck to ya bud, Im tuned in!

Tip: If you want authentic "OG" genetics in seed form. Go with SoCal Seed Co's Hard Lemon V2 via seed depot. I have his unreleased Tahoe OG x Chemdawg D as well that I will pop soon. Chemdawg D is similar to OG somewhat in look with better yield.

he's looking for an og, not a kush like an afghani or hindu.. og's are completely different animals, and not really a kush per se like an afghani.. og's are pretty much kush in name only and are mainly related to chem's and sour d's..
and fem's shouldn't be anymore prone to hermie than reg's so long as they're made with stable parents and the breeder uses say cs or another chemical to force a plant to grow male flowers on a female plant..
using this method, there is no hermie genetics, the plants are only forced to grow a male flower because of the presence of a chemical.. remove the chem and no hermie..

True. Just sharing a tip that will put people in the right direction. I did test smoke his Hard Lemon V2 at a cannabis trade event. It had the classic OG bud structure and the effect was hard hitting and lasted long time. I wouldn't buy anything else except the Tahoe OG x Chemdawg D and Hard Lemon V2 from them.

Reserva Privada OG Kush #18 is indeed a very nice "SOUR" that stunk up my house for much of the flowering period but is a favorite. Very nice yielder too. NO hermies either. Can't go wrong with this one.

I have extensive experience growing this strain and it is amazing. The only drawback to this strain is that it's a pain in the ass to trim.

I had a cut of Earth OG that was a nightmare to trim, wet or dry it didn't matter. I would litterally spend double the time at the trim table with that cut vs all of our other strains. We had a couple patients that really liked it, so we kept it around for a couple of years before I could finally talk them into another OG cut that shared similar medicinal properties.

DNA Genetics and Reserva Privada have legit OG strains that don't hermie. Have tried 4 or 5 of them, multiple times, never gotten a single hermie.

Cataract Kush, Stacked Kush, OG #18, Kosher Kush, and Kandy Kush. I would highly recommend all of those.
