sp promix bx and some other soils are just canadian shaughm moss and perlite and vermiculite? That is what I am reading. That is good I can maker my own cheaper. Vermicosting looks prosing too. I will add as much as I can. Soil is my fun job for today.

you will not regret it one bit.

I love that you only have to add water, makes things so easy.

yeah that is my next checkpoint. I am almost there, I just gotta get the bone and blood meal down. I got the azomite in ebay. Not hard. Cant beleive how easy super soil sounds. Gonna be hard not feeding. ;)

If you can, get a 5 in 1 organic mix. Seawees, blood bone mix, castings etc. Really good shit, rarely have to add nutes after just fresh rainwater :)

The thing about super soil im afraid of is the rate of root growth, if you layer the bottom with high P guano you really need to know when the roots are guna hit that layer right? if you don't know how your strains are wouldn't you wanna mix each strain differently, for example more nitrogen in the indicas/afganica?


and has anyone ever done a super soil layering tech with watered in enzymes, molasses, and like humic acid? And this is kind of a dumb ? but i need some reassurance on this, if your soils too hot, and you add a root inoculant like SPT and it starts to turn to much soluble and burn.. can you flush the microbeasties out or are you just fucked?

I never really worry about anything with super soil.

All I know is that it works.

I really only grow indica or indica dominant strains so I know it works well for that. I am positive it does just as well for any sativa dominant variety as well.

Actually the only thing I am worried about is that I am currently setting up a bed so that I know longer have to use pots.
This will allow root growth in every direction and they will not become rootbound.

All I have to do is figure out how to mix/use this soil so that it will work well in this set up.

what size pots did you use with super soil? I was reading it only worked with 7 gallon pots and beds or more or the soil ran out of juice.

I used 10 gallon pots, more room for root growth = more bud growth.

I know space has enough room... I am just not sure if I should use the layering method, or mix it around.

My fear is that by mixing it the soil would be too hot too soon.

And that by layering it the roots might get too much too fast, or not enough... lol idk.

I have never tried to flush microbeasties... but I would guess it would take a lot more water than 3x to get rid of them.

But think about it.

Does a farmer or nature ever flush with 3x?

That is called a flood.

Not good.

from subcool it sounds like you just mix it around and the plant eats what it wants when it should. Just use unferted pott soil for the first and only layer so the plantcan get some roots in before it hits the super soil. I might get some but I am only in 5 gallons for now.

oh yeah, for super soil, I am assuming something like ocena forest would be too hot and promix bx would be too lite? I have my own soil base of canadian pete moss and perlite I am putting together. I plan to add as much ass 50 percent worm castings and also mix in enough perlite to make it all dry with greensand and dolmite. Also some azomite. I cant tell if i will have to ass some potting. I was hoping some compost as I have tons of liquid ferts laying around.

This last grow i did i used 100% Happy Frog, 100% Amazon Bloom, and a 50/50 mix as well. By far the 100% Amazon Bloom had the best results. Never tried FFOF, but i always hear good things about it.

I use Roots, like sub suggested, have to order it..

but have never seen such a good organic soil

I recommend everyone try it once

Man, for moneys sake I am going all homegrown soon. Those composting bins for worm and regular compost are not so expensive. Undera 100 to keep your grow supplied with earth worm castings and regualr compost all year round!

Add some perlite and some canadian pete moss for like 5 bucks then you got it.

IDK my worry right now is that either ph or hi soil nutes got my seedlings of 2 of my foxfarm girls. In the cheaper less amended orgaic soil no problems and they love feeding. Empty pete moss, ewc, and compost with perlite, dolomite, azomite is looking good.

at least till I use up all these liquid nutes I got in the beginning.
