i did not belive it either till i squished a GG#4 nug ... 1gram trimmed =.33 on the scale
i know there are waxes an shit but damn a plant that is alomst killing itself in oil...
Well after you remove the waxes are you honestly left with more than 20% total cannabinoids? Takeing into factor terpenes are also not cannabinoids. I could be wrong though just what I heard Shantibaba say and I kind of believe him but I only care how it smokes personally.

thats a valid point .... i belive the baselines for the testing are a little off but with the oversite here in colorado . they are pretty sure they are getting it right .... but with only one lab certified to do testing for microbial .... i beg to differ ...

When I was squishing my GG4 I noticed a similar effect, most rosin producing strain I have ever dealt with.

That just means the strain wasn't stable to begin with lol and you probably received it at the f2 gen. The get more stable the more you cross them. So if you bought f1s(which is what most breeders sell right now) you're first cross would have been the f2s with crazy variation. And if you crossed then resulting beans from those or any really that had the same pheno representations, you would be getting more stable.

So are you saying that f1s are strong and f2s are crazy so you breed again to the f2s to find your traits

imsmut, post: 12304114, member: 402624"]I really enjoy reading folk's opinions on what makes a breeder great. Thank you! The framing of the question creates room for a great deal of discussion. Yet, at the same time, I feel that it also obscures some different ways of thinking about the issue...

I have a great deal of respect for the breeders who take the time to inbreed a line, selecting outstanding individuals from huge populations, and stabilizing outstanding traits that can improve our experience of this plant. I understand why some such as sativafied lament the rarity of such practices. Within the current legal framework, I can also understand why such large scale breeding projects are just not practical for many.
This is just my two cents: This is Gods plant it has so many uses no matter what you do you cannot break it down, man has tried over the years, you can breed , pollen chuck do what ever its still cannabis yes you can find and make better grades , but when one finds a keeper there is always one out there better and may be found accidently by one person, so I feel enjoy share dont be stingy and know it all cause the one you undermining may be the one who has that plant for you to make that so called killer strain with lol. I have 13 plus yrs growing and it all takes time we gonna die and they gonna keep making strains
I have also appreciated the efforts of breeders who create polyhybrids, having really enjoyed finding outstanding individuals that I still keep.

It interests me that so many outstanding plants have come not from our hand, but from mama nature finding a way despite our best attempts (gorilla glue I am looking at you).

I prefer to think of this issue in a more holistic manner. As a community, we stand on the shoulders of giants who helped make modern hybrids even possible. We rely on technological shifts that make indoor growing possible. As a collective, we each contribute in our small ways our selections to the gene pools, weeding through millions of plants to find and preserve the ones that please us most. And, it is important to understand that we have a relationship to this plant which it contributes to as well.

I submit that this 'system' has been the best breeder, and that this is clearly seen in what I perceive as a golden age of cannabis...[/QUOTE]

Cat piss smelling varieties are straight potent, the stronger the odor the danker. Disregard THC numbers and chuck pollen based on smells. Observe what smell produce what effect. Hunger, pain relief, aphrodisiac, creativity, drowsiness, alertness or laughter. Do the sour smells produce laughter? Also, like you said about the purple, color is related to effect. The best strain in Mexico, probably the world is a very light green with a low pistil to calyx ratio. Like the color of a tennis ball.
That light green weed from mexico.I have sean many loads of it and to me its the best they grow and I also have seeds from it.I have grew it here in ky. and I loved it but it is a late finisher here.MY Mexican friends some are still in federal prison over it but dam I like it.IT still is around but to much heat now for me to mess with it...ky

You listed some breeders I am interested in. If you had to narrow it down what would be your top 3 breeders and then what strains from each?
