Best SE 600w HPS bulb for around $60- or less?

I used the hortilux did fine I don't like hps to much heat

Saw the Hortilux bulbs, but also saw Gavita brand....didn't know gavita did HPS bulbs....

Was leaning toword Hortilux till I saw them. Got me wondering what other bulbs are out there, since Hortilux are the only good ones I know.

ya hortilux is ok,cant get enough heat from my 600.Pending what climate your in but around here hps is the only way.

99% of my HID bulbs have been Hortilux Super HPS. The added blue is nice and they just performed really well for me and never had a bad bulb. That being said I know Solistek makes great bulbs as well. I only ran their 10k MH bulb as a 2-3 week finisher but it was good. You would honestly be better off running 2 315 CMH would use about the same wattage but give you the output of almost a 1k bulb and the bulbs last 2+ Years.

Sylvania, Philips...... Largest hid bulb manufacturers, 600w hps bulb around 30 bucks or less in bulk pack...... Does the job, and can relamp per run due to price beating out horti over the life of it.

*Or stop throwing toxic halide/sodium arcs in the trash and switch to efficient ledzzzz*

Ushio makes a very good bulb for less than 50, on a budget thats what I would buy personally.

Ive compared the Ushio bulbs to many others already in the saltwater reef community.....don't think I will pull the trigger on that brand again- even if I could be wrong.

Not saying they aren't good for this application, but wasted enough $$$ already with this brand to try in this one.

I have seen them highly rated for grows but who knows with online ratings. I did have good results with some. Are reef lamps metal halide or HPS?

Reef lamps are metal halide.

After checking into these ushios- I am now thinking to try them.

Is that a reputable website link to purchase from? Or just an example link to the bulb? I could use recomendations for good/bad sites to order from.

Its only a year old thread.
