who has the best genetics what are some good breaders that you have used?
Also a good idea to mention your area and buy from there: if the buy involves custom procedures and not legal its nice to not have to worry about the lawman checking whats in your shippment.

In EU growers choice seems quite good but read reviews as the quality depends on the strain. There really isnt a "best seed bank" or source, only bad ones (repackaged genetics, hermy or low germination) and then normal ones, which sell seeds or varying quality. In the end its like this: will i use the rippoff lottery or should i use a normal lottery? Neither guarantees a win but one guarantees a loss.

Yeah man this is exactly what I'd ask first and if you don't know then what's some stuff you do like already op ? Also are you open to seeds from everywhere or just north America

There the same as any who bulk buy hit or miss however there's plenty of European and UK boutique breeders out there that do good work so it's not all the same just the big guys more so

What i mean is more like:
You can look and look for "the best" seeds available. But you might be better off with just trying weed out the bad and just regular ones. Look for information about whatever youre wanting to buy rather than trying for "best seedbank" type of search terms. What seedbank or breeder isnt going to give some "were/theyre best" search results? By looking for "best" youre either going to get the breeder/seedbanks own sales blurb or the guys basicly the reviews of type of "i bought this here and it was the best cause its what i bought" type of answers online. People always tend to qualify the results of their own choices as great. But looking for peeps that give out balanced reviews that give the good and the bad, or just enough details to give you the impression that they went into their review with a

In the end buying seeds is a lottery ticket. You wanna know that your lottery ticket isnt likely to be bad out of the gate, that it gives solid results out of almost every seed. Then you just have to hope for "best". Its about whats your strategy of searching and what type and how reliable that info your getting is going to be.

The analogue would be searching for a film to watch on imdb: you can either look directly at the rating: this is the average people given to the movie. Or you can look for the individual reviews where someone does their own write up of the film and give their rating.
If you see individual reviewers giving solid 7s every time, or people giving 10s or 3-4s - well thats an information in itself. For seeds for a small personal stash grower it would probably be better to look for solid 7s - stable genetics that produce decent to great plants every time, rather than modern genetics which are hit and miss but great when you catch that one pheno out of 20.
Its about how you search, what info its likely to provide, and i think its better to just try to look discard the bad ones than finding the best, cause theres always going to be a lot of "yes great the best" results out there. hope you feel me

I agree it's subjective to you and what you like for what it's worth I shop with many not just a few I do tend to prefer old school stuff and like you said some of the new stuffs ok but it's few and far between and more hunting I also don't subscribe to paying over the odds for stuff like you said seeds are a lottery regardless of what they cost

I agree: if you find a breeder or seedbank who has really good reviews for classic strains, things thats been around for +10 years and some of those reviews are recent: that would be my go to place. Then check reviews of their strains online/forums and see what catches your eyes.

Its always different for personal and comercial.
Ive done a couple of abstinence resets lately (unrelated to weed). First jay last time was a new oldschool strain bred called DayZ, by a very good friend with access to some of that lost pre 2000 gold. Blew me away as my first joint, really like a rocket ship. But out of the few crosses we had to try out from him it was the least commercially viable, not really the right terps even though the high was very nice. After a few weeks of smoking it ive now got some tolerance back and its harder to feel a difference though its still stands out as hi and clean high. Fast forward; Now this time i had 3 weeks abstinence i tried another of our modern strains. It was obviously better than when id smoked it before but the difference was marginal to what i got from DayZ. Now my buddy decides what goes and stays and he smokes heavily every day. Its very difficult for me to motovate him to keep it as it wont do as well as other things for his bottom line. Way of the world i guess but we are keeping it.

There are a lot of good breeders out there. Many people breed according to their personal preferences. Find a breeder that you jive with and that likes the same stuff you do. Try out their stuff and go from there. Also, search for any strains you’ve liked in the past, and find out what breeders are still working with them. Look for recommendations from other people who like similar stuff too. Check out the Breeder and Strain Reviews tabs for recs from people who have grown that breeder’s gear. This is a nice website for strain info : https://en.seedfinder.eu/
