You can mix coco with dirt/organics. I see a few companies here are now doing bags of it. About to go buy one and test it out.

Any potting mix that you can get from your hardware/dept store will work mate. Like gurl says, a couple bucks for a bag of shit and you'll grow some nice weed for a first timer. Forget all the shit you read on here. KISS mate :bigjoint:

I don't see the point on spending tons of $ on soil. Why when you can get 200 gallons worth of manure for $15. But hey....I guess some people have money to burn lol
My dirt is heavy as fuck crow bar bouncing back in your face clay. Unfortunately some of us have to bite the bullet and buy it.

appreciate all the info! going to go to the gardening store now after work and see what I can find. I only had a few plants. But Ive just sprouted a few seeds and want to put them in the medium they will grow there whole lives.

Yeah mine is rock solid red clay too...lol if I could start a website called "www.i fuckinghateclaysoil.com" I would lol

Then don't do coco. I personally hate nutrients & prefer to use a water only soil but that's just me. I suggest getting some good garden soil and adding amendments like a nitrogen input, earthworm castings, a mineral, and some extra perlite for drainage. Then mix it up & let it set for a month while your plants grow. Then you can transplant to bigass pots & just give them mostly just water through to harvest.
