sure thing i will check your journal out now...and still curious about the hydro ferts on the soils.well i haven't added any ferts yet... its been like a month or so, i was told to wait till the leaves show a paleness coming on to add fert. and then i was going to test out the hydroponic nutes at maybe a weaker strength.... if you check out my journal, i have just updated it now with some current pics. taken today err yesterday i think.... so unless some one can say NO don't do that! I guess I will try it out and keep my journal up to date with some fresh progress pictures along the way.
What are you using, out of curiosity? Also will be growing this first grow with hydro nutes
Well, here's a link you might be interested in... http://www.mandalaseeds.com/Guides/Fertilizing-Smart-Guidegeneral hydroponics three part nute system. I got them from ebay pretty cheap. did ok on the tomatoes I had going on the last system.
yeah floranova is my recommendation also it has all your essential micro nutrients all in 1 bottle no 3 part system is super easy for any first time grower. but you will definitely need to get all your ph stuff because this shit drops my ph a shit loadive seen some good ideas in this thread but some to stay away from only because of price and the amount of product you will have to buy to use the whole line up ( fox farm)
if you want a good cheap 2 part liquid fert i would go with floranova grow and bloom, its cheap, lasts long and its all you need in 2 bottles, also it is ph stable
I use the Botanicare Pure Blend Pro line and I use it on my tomatoes too. It works great. Pretty much use the same principle too. Veg nutes for when they are growing and the flowering nutes when the flower start forming little tomatoes. First time I did it I swear the plants almost doubled in size in a day. The soil in my yard is pretty lousy too so I think it really helped.how did that turn out for you... I figured with soil you already have things in there so should prolly use the nutes at a weaker strength.... I also was thinking about using some nutes on my maters outside... just cuz i got a late start on em and my soil around my house is really shitty... basically all clay but somehow they have been growing alright... we'll see how (if at all) much better they do with some liquid fert.
I am a new grower, so maybe I am nuking this...(over thinking, making it more complicated then what it is) but how exactly do I do this? Do I just get a lime from the grocery cut it up and put it under the plant on or in the soil?Well, here's a link you might be interested in... http://www.mandalaseeds.com/Guides/Fertilizing-Smart-Guide
Best advice I can give is LIME YOUR SOIL... lol, best of luck man
Well im useing Earth Juice for the first time and so far i like what i see, I am also running a thread dedicated to Earth juice users along with a sort of tutorial for the whole EJ system if you want stop by the thread its in my sig and see how well it performs..well i haven't added any ferts yet... its been like a month or so, i was told to wait till the leaves show a paleness coming on to add fert. and then i was going to test out the hydroponic nutes at maybe a weaker strength.... if you check out my journal, i have just updated it now with some current pics. taken today err yesterday i think.... so unless some one can say NO don't do that! They sell pulverized dolomite lime at home depot and lowes for $3+. It's a 40lb bag lol, so it will last a while. Add 1 cup per cubic ft of soil, or 2 tablespoons per gallon of soil.I am a new grower, so maybe I am nuking this...(over thinking, making it more complicated then what it is) but how exactly do I do this? Do I just get a lime from the grocery cut it up and put it under the plant on or in the soil?
Are you serious man? Lime the mineral, not the fruit!I am a new grower, so maybe I am nuking this...(over thinking, making it more complicated then what it is) but how exactly do I do this? Do I just get a lime from the grocery cut it up and put it under the plant on or in the soil?
