i had no problems for years, then someone suggested using worm casings to make the soil alive.. it came alive alright, spider mites alive. i spray the soapy type of bug spray as it is safe to use on buds. but i now remember the last time i had a mite problem, it was the " Last Time" i thought to buy worm castings.. not scientific but i had no problems for Years.. until i bought some more again. talking years and separate store, separate city, so a "bad batch" of worm casings, that is not a factor. the ONLY constant factor is that there are worm casings used just before the spider mites hit. i stay on top of them but thinking of throwing what is left of this bag out the door.. i had problems as soon as i started using it and constantly since then. getting sick and tired of seeing reinfestation over and over. i never had that problem the last time, but then, i threw out the last bag real quick... this is the soap spray using this time. http://allperplus.com/

alternating applications of spinosad and pyrethin till flower, then just spinosad. i don't use it till i see them, and quit when they are gone.
so far, 2 applications of each, 3 days apart, have been enough to get rid of them.

The best way is to order predator insects. Lady bugs or praying mantis. They will devour mites in a matter of days. You can order them online. Just make sure if it's Winter time you use shipping method that will not kill them.
