Alright we have a no vote on Nebraska, how about Nevada? It starts with an 'N' just like Nebraska and doesn't have any corn, but it does have a whole lot of sand.......... 1142 W. 3th St. Winnemucca, NV is a great place to retire.
Several people have mentioned Las Vegas and I have only two things to say about Las Vegas:
#1 Las Vegas is a shitty place to live.
#2 Moving to Las Vegas and then realizing that you live in a shitty place will really suck.

If you live in a nonMMJ state the GROWER gets full price for his gear. 300-400 an ounce. Like in MASS.
If you live in a MMJ state than weed is everywhere and really cheap. Its actually worth the time to go deep into the berkshires and live out a summer in a nice tent and grow 50 pounds of Purps. Thats $240,000 on the low end. If I did the same thing in say Oragon... I would only get $120,000. If I can get double the reward for just alittle more risk .... than I think Mass is about to get FLOODED with Purps next winter. LOL But if you travel by road the police are everywhere. I mean everywhere. I think there is like 20 patrol cars on duty at all times in every small town plus you got 20 State Police cars which are everywhere as well. Thats 40 cops to get by to bring supplies in and out. Then at harvest, to bring the 50 lbs to an apt, with 4 stink cans in a bedroom with ropes tied from wall to wall to dry, without getting pulled over.
So to get away with growing 50 lbs in Mass you must live out there in the woods and travel back and forth by river and hiking to get supplies only 1x a week. Or dropped off by car or truck, late at night, by a family member that is helping you survive the summer with food, water, trash disposal, showering, laundry, and most importantly....keeping your whereabouts a secret. Then you really need to know how to grow outdoors and know how to hide your plants from all the choppers that also patrol these mountains daily. Totally guerilla style. But it is worth the risk with the new laws in Mass to atleast attempt a 100 plant grow that produces 8 oz's a plant minimum. Thats only 10 spots with 10 plants in each spot. Or 20 spots with 5 plants each plot. Living out there. there shouldnt be a problem growing even more if you wanted, but pigs get fed while hogs get slaughtered. (a friend once told me).

I'm actually going to answer the straight question.
AZ, FL are considered good states to retire in, since they have low taxes and nice weather.
Some of the Southern states (TX, LA, GA) are also pretty retirement friendly with low tax rates for retiree.
Nevada has low taxes, and cheap property now after the real estate crash.
IMO, its a much better place to visit than live, but that's up to the individual.
The problem is that none of these places are particularly tolerant to cannabis right now.
In converse, the places most tolerant of growing weed are also places where there tends to be a lot of it on the market, driving down prices.
I think right now Colorado and Oregon (in that order) are the two most weed-friendly states, though I'm not really sure I would want to retire in either one. In general, the places tolerant of weed tend to be really liberal, and that usually means high taxes, and other less-than-ideal retirement conditions.
So I think you have to make a fundamental decision here. Are you "retired" or do you want to sell weed?
If you're really retired, and just want to grow for yourself, you can pick one of the retirement-friendly states, get a large private parcel of land, grow on it solely for personal use, and keep your F'ing mouth shut, and you'll be golden.
If you want to grow in large quantity with the intent of selling, you're going to have to trade of legal risk for ease of living.

I like living in maine, nice summers, cool falls, crisp springs, nice beaches, fishing etc... yes winters suck, but last year there was barley any snow, just cold as a bitch
oh yah and that nuclear plant has been closed for over 10 years
