You must remember that all cannabis strains originated from the great outdoors. if you go to some of the seed vendors sites they will have a description of the strains mold resistance growth rates THC content bla bla bla..Look for this when ordering.

I grew Lethal Purple outdoors and harvest was ready in the middle of September. Sweet tasty weed and it's got one hell of a buzz.

What delstel said is right.... You wanna get a strain that will finish early and will be resistant to mold... i grew some mazzar in my greenhouse and outside this summer here in central europe (rain 100% guaranteed end of sept!! Frost from mid october)
and the result was seriously amazing... Here is a pic or two of the ones in the greenhouse, the ones outdoor did Exactly the same as the greenhouse ones just took 3 days longer to dry.... all this just to say.. make sure you got a strain that will resist mold, mites, and finishes nice and early..... PEACE

Nice greenhouse. I was thinkin' of settin' up a small one this spring.

Anyway, You can use any kind of Durban cross. I did some Durban x Skunk and it was the easiest shit ever. I watered them maybe 3 times, and never had to give any nutrients. Another rule of thumb that I use is that , "If its skunk, it'll probably grow." So, any kind of skunk cross will be safe. A lot of breeders say "mold resistant", and if you read around you can find reviews noting cold tolerance, and other useful information.

I've lived in Maine, and Florida and I can't think of any place on the east coast that will present a consistent problem if you plant in early may and harvest in oct before weather turns to shit (in the north). Theres just always that freak chance of snow in late september depending on where you live.

Texada Timewarp - PeakSeedsBC

http://www.peakseedsbc.com/seeds.htm

.

I don't know if it's the best or easiest but it's a mainstay on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. Good for short growing seasons.

.

Texada Timewarp (indoor/outdoor)

This strain came to us from a group of outdoor commercial growers here on the Island. Its hardy and low-maintenance. There are some variations in height and branching style. Excellent, clean high/superb smoke and taste. Matures mid-late Sept.

.

Peak has been out of TT & BB seeds for the last year, I don't know who else to get seeds from - they're BCers. There are a lot of crosses so look for something as close to the original as possible.

Grows 12' tall in good conditions.

Shit I've had bud freeze so bad the fan leafs where all curled up looking dead as hell once it warmed up bout mid day the plant looked just as good as the day before. The smoke was a bit harsher than the other plants of the same strain but still good smoke..Cannabis in a very resilient plant it will live through some funky shit that will kill other plants..
