This is an old thread I know that but I'd like to add that subcool may have some decent strains but he isn't very good at the customer service part of business... As a few pointed out on this thread and I've seen him in person act like this and also he's bad at not answering emails... He's most alot of business due to this... I use to grow nothing but tga gear and own and operate a dispensary and me along with alot of other dispensary owners here in Michigan quit growing and carrying his meds at our dispensaries and even quit selling his seeds out of our stores all over the attitude he puts off... Atleast pretend to care and want to answer questions even if there dumb questions like the guy asking about where to get seeds... It's just common sense part of running a business so subcool needs to find a rep for his business and stay in the breeding rooms chucking his pollen since he can't seem to be a people person for what me and alot I others have seen and soon know matter what strains you have even if there the holy grail knowones gonna want them all over how they were treated by the breeder and just to add to the list of bad customer service breeders swerve from Cali conection is the same way so must be an American thing I deal with just overseas seed stock now and never have trouble with them... They go beyond what I expect from them so as someone else mentioned go with nl#5xhaze or serious seeds White Russian great yields and awsome smoke on both and not because I have beef with subcool but none of his will produce the yield and potency per sq/meter that those two strains will besides maybe the agent orange but have to find the shirt fat pheno which I do have still shhhhh lol
 
I grew White Russian, had a great yield and took forever to even get one amber on those huge whit heads. With that being said, I have qrazy train, and the genetics of these girls is amazing to say the least. I had some purple urkle 7 years ago, and never thought I would ever see that strain again since I live in the Far East. But not only did the taste and smooth smoke bring back memory's, but the yield was fantastic for a short veg. The buds are rock solid, White Russian was more airy for my liking. I can throw in a 6 inch clone and get an ounce or rock solid buds which was impressive since the pheno I have has very little stretch to her.

To make this short, I don't care if Subcool is a total dick! His gear is amazing, he knows what he is doing and he still takes the time to share his formula for a super soil, his breadiing techniques, try's to answer questions for people who need help, shared his time tested method for setting up an efficient grow room. Shit, from what I can tell he is a pretty decent guy deap down and may have some social quirks that some, like yourself, don't have the ability to not take it personally.

I know damn well I can piss people off without even realizing it when I was just busy and lost in my own little world in my head.

Regaurdless the man is passionate about his work and so far his gear reflects that very well. Not carrying his work cause you think he's not a nice person is ridiculous, and kind of a messed up business model.

Oh, and I got agent orange on the way too. I miss the orange like smells and favors of the Russian and world love to have the density of the crazy train to boot.
 
the guy as shown the world how to easily grow dank... and u dont have to deal with him to get his gear, whats the problem?
 
hands down, JTR. JTR is an easy grow, and yeilds pretty well, depending on the phenos. I've found short flowering phenos that were a pretty good stone and longer flowering phenos that were more clear headed. If you've GOT to go TGA, then stick to his staple strain. Just don't try to breed with it. hahah

You must be smoking some Sherm, cause SO FAR, he's made more strains that aren't produced anymore than strains that are called "winners". And don't give me any of that "high times top 10" bullshit. His top 3 strains, he got the mothers from people that no longer respect him. Wonder if there's a coincidence there? Apollo 13, Romulan, Purple Urkle - all given to sub by people that regret it to this day. Advance the strains youre working with, Sub! Don't just sprinkle pollen on your new "mum" you were graciously given, just to make a quick buck off of the CLONE's reputation. Its been about a decade, and you haven't even come close to cubing your beloved A13. Don't even get me started on what you did to the Urkle clone (5 seeds sprouted,4 females, 1 male... fuck it, lets breed! - says Sub)

But like I said, his JTR is pretty solid. So long as you dont have any light leaks.

Why does he need to cube A13 when there is so much more he could be doing with his time. Especially when you can find the a13 mother in a 5 pack.

And it's not like he just sprinkles pollen on a new mum. It goes through testing first to see if it comes up to a certain standard. I don't see Sub as a master breeder, rather a collector of good genetics...and he tries to get them into seed form for us to have.

Everyone that I have given a taste of my AO has loved it. Quick, decent yield, easy growing and good high...keeper from a 5 pack (3 female/2 male).

Musicians aren't required to interface with people. They put on a show. It's the great divide between service and goods... You should be able to stand behind you 'GOODS' without getting all shitty. Music has and always will be subjective. Goods is significantly less subjective. He just needs to hire someone with people skills to do his talking. He's made a lot of enemies. That's unfortunate. I see him as a con. I mean how could you get so many people to like you enough to trust you with thier "gems" then they dislike you a bit later? As I've said before: It's about nothing but the greenbacks...

Do you like his product? Or do you just dislike subcool?
 
Just him. His product is pretty up there as far a quality goes from my experience. Someone else just needs to be the "face" of it IMO... But I have nothing but good things to say about his gear. But I did get week 9 nanners!! ;)

Sub you know GOOD and WELL that most plants in the PNW yeild around 5-7 lbs max. True, there are some that pull bigger, but its up to the strain. I KNOW none of your strains produce more than a FAT JTR plant...so I'm gonna go with MY experience on you being a bullshit artist, and my experience growing outdoors in the PNW...You're full of shit. That plant is no more than 6 lbs. Its not even as tall as the guy behind it. Quit playin' on the Internet and go cube your apollo if you know whats good for your business.
 
He needs to be cubing Apollo 13 because that's his best, most unique strain that he has taken from someone. I mean, collected over time. JTR is runner up as far as unique genetics, and querkle is in 4th, behind The flav in 3rd. This, however, speaks nothing of the most stable or easiest to grow. Sub seems to have gotten sidetracked with the "flavor of the month" trend, and then outsources his "testing" of "his" strains to people that are biased and just thankful for free seeds has been his policy from the very beginning. yeah, i'm sure they tell him exactly how shitty their worst plant was...right. So you see, Subcool is not even testing his products. You can't look at a plant through a picture and read the enthusiastic newbie grower's review and decide to release a new pollen chucked cross to the masses, who rely on you for quality smoke to either relax then or medicate them. I'm not saying all of his gear is garbage, but most of it is. Yields? i have a mothership clone that yields more than any strain of TGA I've ever grown, and the smell is fruitier, the taste is sweeter, and I get more high than any of TGA's gear. I will say though, if you're going to buy TGA, stick to the A-13, JTR, and Flav lines for the winners. Although with the flavs, you're going to get some weird ass phenos that may not smell very appealing, but I assure you the romulan mother's genetics are represented SOMEWHERE in there. 1 in 10? 1 in 20? Somewhere closer to 1:20. You may get some weak yielding a-13 crosses, but the JTR usually never disappoints in yield, but is however, not as strong of a sativa high as the a-13 crosses.

Ummm Uriel is clone only, make sense he would want to use it as a mom, tons of people have. And yeah, he wants to sell it to you when have you known a seed bank that give shit away. And I care more for my family then his garden. So your saying that I'm a bad person for that. I say let the genetics speak for themselves, I could care less about how they came to be provided that they are good and it nice when you have a good discription to go along with them. Hey he even has free info on garden set ups, soil recipes etc.. Wow I can tell how horrible a person must be to take the time to post all that.

So basically you handed over a cutting of a strain that only you had.... To a known breeder, and you had the impression he wasnt gonna breed with it? I would have to say that was a pretty foolish move on your part...

As far as running untested gear in newb gardens... Your point? That is the testing is it not? Thats how genetics get tested in real world environments is it not?

I used to b Subcool "fanboys" i guess. lol Used to have his Dank book. and followed him around alot when he was active in breedbay and kinda strayed away from him as he kept doin that weed nerd thing.. started to sound arrogant so i stayed away from his "nerd thing" as well as rollitup but still enjoy his genetics here and there. Chernobyl was very frosty and good. surprisingly stabler than I expected. was bouncing around between 4~5 phenos and by the 2nd pack few were actually overlapping so that was great but i rather enjoyed Shark Shock more. greater yield stronger resistence to bugs frost is great and so on..

Point I was trying to make is that im not dogging on SUBCOOL becuz I dont know him personally. But before attacking Sticky Lungs, this guy actually KNOWS subcool he met with him face to face and spoke with him on many occasions I believe (I'm not too sure sticky.. just basing on the infos and way he talked about you on breedbay I assumed you guys were close with each other during that era) So we should really consider what this guy is saying about Subcool even if you dont believe in the words he say...
I dont know why everything fell apart between you two. but Subcool is known in ICMAG as polyhybrid pollen chucker. even though that is harsh to say.. in technicality it is true. he just does DANK x DANK and I wlil get DAnk. which isnt always not true. but results were usually unstable phenos along with few Herm tendencies that weren't curbed out.

I also like to let Subcool know he is probably pioneer in this *polyhybrid pollen chucking* trend that many of the so called breeders now follow in his footsteps. Just like when Greenhouse started to make fem versions and many seed companies followed their marketing footsteps. I know its easier to make money doing your way... but there are real breeders and you are hurting them by calling yourself a breeder... hope everything goes well for your family Sub and Sticky and God bless to u all.
 
Just lurkin'. It is amazing what some of you are certain you know..that you don't know. Free country. You can say what you want. And Sub is a big boy. But, as someone who sees Sub quite often, I can assure you that most of you are clueless about what he does. And, he is the most generous guy on the net with his tips and tricks. Does he get paid? Fuck yeah, as he should. Open to criticism? Sure. But sayin stupid things just to be heard is...stupid. It doesn't advance your cause to spew nonsense. WEEDLAW
