I recall seeing an article on a tattoo artist from MI years back, it was saying at the time
he was one of the best in the country. Anyone have any ideas who it is?

I won't be able to afford to get it done for a while but, would like to check him out.
Thanks in advance.

DAMN! some really nice work on here. Been seriously considering a second tattoo to commemorate my ironman but have no clue what to get. The IM guy is a corporate logo (fuck that!) and the 140.6 is done to death and far from original. prolly should see one of these guys and let an artist do what they do instead of trying to come up with it on my own. that bill is super tight! GREED baby USA USA USA LOL

My good nephew who just opened a new shop near the corner of Midland and Dean on Midland St. in Bay City. Andrew Switala. Learned the trade in Freeland.

I have to say the best Ink slinging artist here in Michigan is most likely in a cell using some fucked up gun and ink . Prison artists tend to be some of the best as they have not much else to do but perfect the skill and trade while doing nothing but custom work all the way around ..

Michigan has some fine Tattoo Artists and I feel it all depends on what type of Ink you desire , as there are so many artists now that center on a style or type . I am an old school guy and my former Tattoo Artist learned from the Shaw family , every line I drew he thickened up before being applied and done as his method was 100 % old school while his partner at the time perfected the fine line of the modern day . I do believe the second dude Daryl Maniac is in Garden City and I feel he is one of Michigan's finest all around artists ..
