You can be the best listener and reader in the world but if you don't have common sense it doesn't matter.

you just made my day. you learned the #2 rule of growing after keeping your mouth shut. your next mission is how to politely correct these retards at a party without looking like you grow yourself. (hint, just keep it shut. they ALWAYS know more than you. smile and nod.)

This is a hard one too. Occasionally I will have friends of mine (there one who is extremely cocky about this matter) who don't even know, begin to tell me what is wrong with the bud they just picked up, or something about the strain's lineage. And they are completely wrong, but I always have to stop myself, and remind myself, that I am just some dude who occasionally tokes. Not some fairly knowledgeable grower who could tell you that Headband is NOT Skunk #1 x White Rhino, nope, I'll just sit here quietly...

Under the radar, at all time... I've even started dressing differently. It used to be all tye-dyes, jeans, and bandanas, now it's collared shirts, belts, and khaki's. I still have long hair, but you can usually pull that off as chic if you do it right.
