Best Veg Lighting for Outdoor Grow?

What is the best type of light to use?
T5?
CFL?
HPS?

the sun ?

how big do you plan on veging them to each would have there advantage, a 6500 K MH is better than the HPS though.

lol in my setup i use all of those as well as MH. In the morning before the sun rises my lights come on. If they're in flowering its HPS, transition get MH, let seedling/clone get PC(but fish tank blubs, 96W a piece 8 of them across, more light than a T5 setup), mothers get T5 VHO. About 8am everything goes outside to the sun. about 3pm everything comes back in under it's light. now if you're asking whats the best way to get a clone outside without burning it up in about 2minutes?

t5's to start with. then get them as close as possible, then switch over to MH or HPS, once it's about a 2 feet away without burning the plants then they're ready for the sun. it takes just over a week.
