Best way to eliminate smoking smell?

I've tried a few searches but did not find much, so I'm here goes:

I've just moved into a new apartment and I'm concerned about the smell when I smoke giving me away to the staff/neighbors. I thought that the management was pretty lax but the last guy I talked to as I was signing the papers made a big deal about no smoking and no drugs or they'd kick me out, fine me, etc. I'm sure it's just a scare tactic, given that lots and lots...and lots of people in my city smoke weed.

Anyway, I don't want to call their bluff, so any suggestions on how to eliminate the smell while I smoke are welcome.

I smoke almost exclusively at my computer. I have 3-4 months before I will be smoking here as I will be starting to flower my girls and the shortest flowering strain goes 8-9 weeks (DNA Kushberry) while my other strain goes much longer at 10-11 weeks (Barney's Farm G13 Haze). Plenty of time to rig something to stink-proof my room!

I've thought of rigging an extended intake duct from my tent to my desk (the tent is carbon scrubbed) or just making a DIY carbon filter and PC fan into a sort of smokeless/odorless ashtray. I also have a neon transformer kicking around somewhere that I originally bought to make into a ionizer back in the day. For that matter I could just get one of those air purifier/ionizer things.

Also, on a side note: I feel like a secret agent because I managed to move my girls out of the old apt (in which the old roomies never knew I grew) and into the new apt without a hitch. I was super worried about being found out, pulled over while driving, etc etc. When it came time to actually move them I was super chill and just did it. When I unpacked them it was like..."OK, that was super easy."

Kind of makes me wonder just how many people in this town grow.

well wat i usto do when i was around 13 or 14 is i usto turn on the hot water and let the room get all filled wit vapor n shyt n right when i would finish smoking i could turn on the cold water real fast n it woulnt smell. or jus buy febreze lol

Damn that's messed up you can't smoke in your own place. Kinda like a prison. If I'm paying money I should e allowed to smoke. Since when did weed become a drug. Anyway your on point with the carbon filter homeboy so just use that.

Yeah I love it - we can't smoke in most of the bars here, the state gov is working on a state-wide indoor smoking ban and the rental properties are all going nonsmoking. They don't want to deal with the cleanup/arguments from other tenants and if they really don't like you it's another excuse to legally kick you out while forcing you to keep making your rent payment until they re-rent the apartment. I really need to start saving money today for a house of my own.

I really don't care about bans on cigarette smoking (no nicotine for me) but I've been reading around and found a lot of people saying it's bullshit that landlords have the right to restrict your rights to do whatever the fuck you want in your own house. Some places are even installing "smoking" detectors.

Thats mad gay. They doing that same shit up here in ny. Shit I live in a house tho but even in a apartment I would smoke. Who are they to tell me I can't light up. Against civil rights is what I say.

Get a vaporizer.

Yea that's true e can make a home made one. It's still not as good as a bong or a blunt though.

Try taking a saucer and pour just enough vinegar on it to cover the surface, Do that to a few saucers and disperse them around the room

Just buy some $1 incense from sunoco or smoke in a room with a window air conditioner both will get rid of strong blunt smells.

I've thought about the vapo route. You're right Mysticclown150 - sometimes I just gotta roll a J or take rips off the bong. I actually prefer the bong above all else but I really enjoy rolling J's after the first bong rip of the night. It's my ritual because I'm trying to perfect rolling joints. I'm still not very good at it but every once in a while something happens and it's perfection.
