I've always had good luck with wrapping them up in wet paper towel and putting in a zip lock bag on top of something warm.

I have never failed in a dixie cup with moist napkins, put window shelf(get some sun), and cover top of cup with a zip-lock or plastic, Average time to germinate 2-3 days.

This is hands down the best method. I got a 95% success rate.

Go buy some bottle water. I used a 1 gallon Crystal Geyser. I bought the Hydrofarm Germination Station but you can probably get something similar for cheaper at your local garden shop.

Basically a heating pad, tray, and humidity dome. It came with a plastic insert for 72 cuttings but I didn't use that.

Take the water and mix 6 parts water, 1 part 3% hydrogen peroxide. Pour your seeds in the mix. For the first hour I visited them every once and a while and poked them with my fingers to submerge them. They're going to float.

Let them sit 24 hours in the dark at room temp. Some will crack open and some won't. After the soak I carefully placed the seeds in rockwool cubes and pinched the shut the whole in the top so no light could get in. You can use whatever starter medium you prefer. If you are inserting a seed that has already split open be extra careful and place the root/tail side down

Once in the medium, place your cubes or whatever in the tray. I wanted to start my grow with 24 plants so I used 72 seeds so the odds would be in my favor. One rockwool 72 cube sheet fits perfect in the tray.

Slowly pour the water over the tray so it has time to soak into the medium and doesn't flood. It took me about 3 minutes and I used the whole gallon.

Put the humidity dome over the tray. Plug in the heat mat, and place the tray on it. The heat mat gets a little bit hotter than I feel it should. They sell a dimmer for it but I just took a bath towel and folded it over twice and placed it between the mat and the tray. You want it warm but not hot.

Let it sit. Take of the dome once or twice a day and let some fresh air fill the chamber.

I planted 72 seeds and 69 came up. I took the best 24 and tossed the rest.

Once you see the first sprout give them light. light light light

Ya I know you don't need the ziplock I used to do it without but with the bag it doesn't dry out and need to be remoistened all the time.

I'm stoned. Let me clarify.

I just use the peroxide mix for the 24 hour soak. The water I pour onto the cubes is just water

I keep it real simple. Put see in soil. keep moist till they break the surface. it work 100% of the time.
I do this cause I dont like handeling the little seed with the tap root sticking out.
