I'll take our justice system (flawed as it is) over any other I know of...........
But you're retired CDC. One of these days when I have a good hour or so to type, I will share my story of how I was once convicted...by a corrupt judge/jury. Was sentenced to 7 1/2 years, and never served a day. Fortunately I had help within the clerks office, who shredded the arrest warrant until I could receive a fair hearing...which I did from a beach in Florida:mrgreen:.

There was never a second trial b/c they already knew I should never been convicted to begin with.

So fuck the system, it is continually corrupted and polluted with individuals more intent on serving their own purposes as opposed to true justice.

What "my" saying is that you're condemning people based on the charges when they could be 100% innocent, and that is not right. Your (correct usage of "your") avatar is fitting.
I know there are a few like you in here... glad you like my avatar, makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside..
WHAT I SAID WAS: drunk drivers, rapist , old lady beaters are fucked !: I did not say anything about charging a innocent person... Your saying that just because it would make me feel good for one of those low life's to go to jail is a bad thing "IF" there guilty. Just because I don't like drunk drivers, rapist , old lady beaters has nothing to do with sending a innocent person to jail.
Not my fault you got charged with rape. Take a walk off a short pier. < Now that's said with love, and not the raping kind..

It's a "Summons" from the court.............not showing up, will not turn out well............
A legal summons must be registered mail or delivered to you in person, from what I understand from reading up on this.
It can say summons but if not sent by registered mail or delivered to you by a process server or cop it is not a legal summons..
I could be wrong?

I'm going anyway but before they can prosecute you for ignoring a summons, it must be delivered in a way that it is signed for, showing you got it. That means registered mail (at least) or even a personal process server.
I think the punishment for ignoring a jury summons is very seldom prosecuted. I'm guessing a large percentage of them are ignored and the county or state has better things to do than chase people down. So long as they get enough people to fill the juries, what do they care?

I've always gotten court appearances via regular mail and they will arrest you if you skip those!
