Just search for a "manual liquid transfer pump" either locally or on Amazon. Sure, the battery ones work but they burn up batteries like crazy and, in my experience, break. My manual pump is by far the most useful little item I've found for this task.

Im not trolling .. you are going from thread to thread telling people not to listen to the members here who are infact knowledgeable and helpful but you got worked by acouple of them and decided to go on some kind of crewsade telling new members to read books, not to come here for info.. appears to me you are the one trolling..

I use rolled-up paper towels like a dish rag, wring them and use again until finished, then toss them. But, I don't have massive amounts of runoff as I don't water like many suggest. I'm partial to sativa strains and they tend to prefer watering more frequently using less water, in my experience. At 9 weeks from seed, my autos are sucking-up 3 quarts of water every other day with minimal runoff.

One of those long stick type squirt guns is actually a pretty good idea.

If you buy a shop vac, just make sure it's big enough to hold more water than what you're vacuuming. If not it becomes a pain in the ass to stop and empty it over and over. If you have a big garden look into buying one with a drain port, and then buy one of these.
