Best Yield Possible with my setup? Scrog, lst or Top/Fim

Hey guys,

I'm looking for advice on getting the best yield possible for my second grow. I have a 400 watt hps forv eg and a 1000 watt hps for flower. I'm about two weeks into veg wth 9 purple kush.

I'm confused as too how to best utilize my set up for a good yield.

If I was to scrog I would be using a 6 foot by three foot scrog for all nine plants . However I don't have a height restriction. Any ideas?

Nobody can ever estimate yield accurately.

most def scrog for you. If it was for a smaller number of plants I would of said LST.

LST is awesome if you have like 1 to 5 plants. it takes time and effort.

Scrogging allows you to worry about your plants less as the screen does most of the work. I suppose you could fimm and top to multiply your nodes... but use this sparingly.

if it were me mate i'd go 3x3 with the plants and test a different method on a couple of them and leave a couple to do their own thing (control group) rather than committing them all to 1 style, also you'll be able to see which style suites you and the strain better, failing that i'd look for some1 who has grown the strain and ask them mate. my last lot i left to do there thing and i'm glad i did as i had a very filled even canopy (serious seeds chronic) a large cola with a crown of large buds, a little training may have been beneficial to bring the side branches up a little higher but the work involved in getting to the back 1's would have been more hassle than i believe it was worth so with all things being equal i'd do the same again mate my belief is experimenting first hand is the only way to go

scrog is lame and fimming just reduces the size of your main cola, it doesnt increase yield necessarily. scrog is a lazy mans sog. lst is great but takes a very long time. sog is the way to go. veg your plants for 2 weeks until they are 6-8" tall take clones from the bottom. repeat. you will have a million plants with one main bud, no timming hassle. perfect bag appeal. no garbage buds.

I've thought of growing one of them out as a mother plant and taking clones but I have never done it up to this point. I imagine I could fit like 30 clones in this area in one gallon pots. For now I'll probably do like 6 plants in a Scrog set up.

Yeah i agree SOG would be better if you have the room for it but if your confined to a smaller area then SOG just crowds your shit and scrogg is much better. I once saw a journal on here where someone got just over 400 grams using a 400w hps scrogg method.. The area was 3 ft wide, 2 ft deep, no way in hell your going to get that much bud with a sog in that small of an area..
