That is a pretty good list.


You gotta love Private Ryan and Band of Brothers due to their obsessive attention to detail. Nothing worse than seeing a film like Patton and watching a bunch of M-48s face off against eachother with the only difference being paint color. HBO's The Pacific is good too.

Battle of Britain and Sink the Bismark are good too.

Also, that episode of Gilligan's Isle with the Japanese hold-out.

The last documented holdout was Hiroo Onoda in 1974. Unconfirmed reports of them continued into the 90s.

Hmmmm. Need something from Korea. An awful little war.

It's been mentioned. i haven't seen it in at least 10 years. I'll have to check it again. Fucking Japs
I mentioned it again because I'm a stickler for details and Platoon is not realistic. Restrapo is a good documentary and Cartel Land is very good, but the most realistic war movies will be Hamburger Hill, Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers.
