Better to dry / cure in lighted or dark room?

Hello All,

I live in the desert and I am have low humidity ( no more than 22% ) and high temp ( 78 to 80 degrees ) conditions.

Given these conditions would it be better to dry in a darker room ( closet) or a room with some natural light ( that may have some UV component) to maybe control possible mold?

Is light beneficial to prevent mode during drying, curing or even storage?
What is preferred?

Get your humidity up to 55- 60% use a humidifier on a control. Lights off, light degrades thc and other compounds during drying and curing. Indirect airflow to combat mold. 7- 14 days dry, then 14- 21 days cure in jars. Burp jars daily

Do you think 80 degree+ temps would cause a problem in conjunction with the added humidity. Is it possible to leave more leaves on to slow drying instead of adding humidity?

You want complete darkness have fan blowing air around the buds not at them

Cut the plant a couple of inches above the base and dry the whole plant, takes a bit longer to dry but is very beneficial and will stop flash drying, but everyone to their own, just need a dark semi airy place and you will be fine

That sounds like that is the ticket for my low humidity situation.
Should I remove any other foliage from it just basically leave the stem and nodes with buds or keep the whole thing extra fan leaves and all?

Thanks, can I ask you this ? I have a circulating air filter that passes air thru a UV light to kill bacteria in the air. I can put this in the dark drying room?
My question is will the UV light ( some of which a little is viable outside of the air filter) degrade THC you spoke about?

I would take all leaves off including sugar leaves... you can leave the sugar leaves on if you wish but when they dry they curl which makes trimming the buds a bitch of a effort especially when you see the trics falling from the leaf to the floor and not much else
