Joe Biden said today that he would prefer a person of color and/or a woman to be his running mate if he was chosen as the Democratic nominee for POTUS.
Nice
That is a very wise decision in my opinion and makes total sense seeing that would truly represent the demographics of the nation.
So, how's this for an idea?
I think the runner up for the nomination should be chosen as the VP automatically.
Why not?
Of course Sanders wouldn't work because he's a commie ( :) ) and un-electable, but Kamilla Harris would be an awesome choice.
If those two were on the same ticket, I really think they would be unstoppable and great for this nation.
What do you think?

I'd prefer Kamala Harris remain in the Senate where she is needed and can remain in a leadership role. Let Biden pick somebody from a battleground state or maybe even Jerry Brown. They'd make an interesting pair.

I think Biden’s too damn old and not sure if he will be energetic enough up against Trump in the final debates . Kinda like how Hillary was . Not ballsy enough to seriously bitch slap Trump Hardcore. Don’t get me wrong, I like him. I think he is very presidential and a classy guy. He has confidence and experience and I like the idea that I have heard that Obama will be working with him. Harris would be a great VP! But I think Corey Booker is the man to get into the ring with Trump to knock him on his ass and deliver those serious knock out punches. He can then select Harris as VP and we can finally have 2 black people as prez and VP. It’s just what our country needs after this toxic racist Trump bullshit.

Biden doesn't need to be energetic to let Trump implode. He can win the senate and house so that some shit can get done. I would like to see Harris as Attorney General so she can still tear into Trump and his minions.

My dream list is (it'll never happen, of course) Biden as President, Warren as VP, Harris as AG, Booker as head of HUD and Bernie Sec of State, the rest to be determined later.

I like the list except put Bernie as head of HUD (he started his career protesting for equal housing, let him finish where he started), Booker as Secretary of Energy because he always seems to be full of it. (energy that is)

I would not want to see Harris as AG. I would rather see her as a legislator. Her reforms of prosecutory policy as a DA of California prove that her experience as a prosecutor and her background as a communicator inform and influence her talent as a legislator.

I predict that she will be doing some important things as chair of the senate judiciary committee in the future. Taking VP spot would keep her in the senate which would be a good thing, but I don't want to see her as AG.

I hope your right. Hillary seemed to have a lot of patience with Trump and she lost. Biden has a year to get prepared and I sure hope he trains hard and seriously. He is such a nice guy , I appreciate his honesty, compassion and his humble down to earth no bullshit ways of taking accountability for his actions. I am looking forward to the upcoming debates to see how he does . It seems like he is going to be the nominee from what I’m reading. I guess no one else even has a chance at this point?

Hillary had to deal with sexism on an epic level that hurt her badly in the older male vote. The racists were already against her, because they lost their minds with Obama, and Trump had evangelicals at 'baby murder'. Nobody saw the online trolling campaign being weaponized the way it was (outside of the racists and evangelicals who were at it for a while..... damn Russians), this time everything is different. Biden won't have a issue with those older males that unfortunately can't see a female leader.

Between people like myself realizing that treating women like a 80's movie is not ok, and the candidates if nothing else realizing that foreign countries are attacking us at Trump's invitation, this too shall pass. I got faith in millennial women and the younger generations. But for the next 4 years a nice old man will do just fine while the Democrats have to clean up another Republican mess.

Bernie is toast... dry, white toast. His movement hasn't grown, isn't growing, will never grow. Time to throw your support behind somebody relevant - instead of just supporting Trump.
