I'm no pro at growing auto's brother, I have been watching very intensely all of the other growers here at roll it up and it is very surprising to see the difference in plant progress between different growers. I have come to the conclusion that autos are very unpredictable and there are a lot more factors involved than just (they have an internal clock and they will be done in this amount of time) I am growing Northern lights and OG Kush autos. My northern lights are the ones I started with and they started very slowly, so slow in fact that at first I thought I was not going to be able to grow these things where I live in my environment, south-central Alaska. But all of a sudden about six weeks into the grow these things woke up and grew out of control, I had the same fear as you with monstrous fan leaves all over the top blocking everything underneath, so I bend them over to expose sunlight to the bottom of the planet. (Picture below) now at damn near day 70 they are 3 feet tall and flowering all over. (Second picture below) weeks behind everyone else's average flowering time.
