tell me about it m8 the green round my way has been found to have crushed glass in it to make it look Crystaly so once we found out that we all went nuts . i stay in small village with only 1 major suppler of green so he got told to fu#k off home and take his green with him ..............
so a few month latter there was new dealer of green with some northen lights green going around and what they had done this time was added the glass in when the bud was only in few weeks in flowering stage so the bud grow,d around the glass and added shed loads of weight to the buds so thats when i decided to grow my self . a will never pay for green off a certain race of people again .

hi there NeedHelpGrowing since your new to ph i thought i would give you a proper answer and not half ass,d thats why its massive sorry prep a and read .

i am using bio bizz soil and my water is around 7 ph .out tap
i never started lowering my water ph down till around same time in groth you are at the now . you can get a (ph down) bottle which will be sold at anygood grow shop (you can use other things to adjust ph but i use the stuff you get from grow shop not expensive stuff )from there test your water that is going too be fed to plants and add small amount of the ph down (very small as you dont know how much it will lower it by ) to the water and test ph of water until desired level . the level of ph in my soil has droped with me dropin the level of ph in the water

BEWARE FOR WHEN NUTES ARE ADDED ............................................................... some nutes can actually change the ph of your water after they are added so the way i do it is let the water sit for 24h to remove the cloren then adjust the ph level and add nutes then sit for further 24h and test again to insure the nutes don't mess with the desired ph level

once you have tested this couple of times and if nutes dont mess with ph you dont need to do it just do water and ph down and nutes as normal

i droped the ph o.5 every water until desired level that way i can make sure my babys are coping with it ok

in my research of bb 5.0-5.5ph is ideal for gd

things need for this .
ph down (cheap)
ph soil tester (can be expensive but there is cheap one out there in was £15 )
ph water tester (cheap)

nasty stuff that glass/sprayed s**t.. still lingers round my way and people still buy it!
Exactly the same reason i'm growing man..
People have started to shred tesco bags and do the same thing, sprinkle a s**t load over the buds and let the bud grow over it.. it couldn't add that much weight surely..
If they want to make £££'s off selling drugs then why not sell coke or smack? and leave the weed to the peeps who appreciate it..

Vinegar is what I use as my PH Down, works a treat and is cheap..

I use tap water as my PH Up, again, works a treat and is cheap

You don't need much of either to adjust the PH so it shouldn't do any harm to your plants..

citric acid mate is what i use to lower my tap water ph - you can get a bottle of it at holland and barrat for like £6 and it lasts for years as a tiny pinch will lower a litre of my 7.2 ph water from tap to 5.5 ph - im not saying it is ideal and i haven't researched it fully but so far so good.

Tho recently i have heard things about 5.5 ph being too low for growing in soil?

I filter my tap water thro a britta filter which tonight when i did it went from 7.0 before to 6.1 after - now i have heard that lower ph than 6.2 is going to lock nutrients out and that it is much easier for your soil to buffer down than buffer up.

Then i see how well joe's grow has turned out and i think 5.5 ph has to be the way to go - damm i wish there wasn't so much conflicting info out there, guess its just about seeing what works for you and sticking to it.

Oh and i picked up a soil moisture / ph & light tester for like £7 off ebay (had to wait 3 weeks for it to arrive from Hong Kong mind!) and a ph tester for around £12 (same place and delivery time tho!)

A few weeks ago one of my mates had to give up smoking..
My mate kept going to the same geezer who sold this sprayed s**t, he didn't mind it, if it were all he could get, I won't go near the stuff myself, anyway, he kept buying it and buying for like a month+, everyday until his lung collapsed and he nearly died! He woke up in the hospital and the Doc's told him if he smokes ANYTHING else it will kill him..
Gutted for him man, he's been smoking it for atleast 15+ years, he should of known better mind.. now he wants me to bake him some cookies! aslong as he pays for em'

update day28 :

not good fokes defo got a nute lock out problem

i am planing on doing a flush tomorrow night and rasing the ph level to 6 as 1 plant does not seem able to cope

heres couple of pics if any one has any othere ideas please say all ways open to opinions

She looks just like the one I had that went yellow, even after flushing she continued to yellow but the buds were great still at the end! Check out my journal, you can't miss the yellowing on the top part of the girl on the right.
I would still flush her good and proper, but she looks great even with the yellowing!
Let us know how you got on man..

update day 31:

sorry no pics this time cams out o battery.
after a lot of stressin and help from the riu members we came to the conclusion i was under feeding with nutes and the plant was eatting its self slowly so back on full nutes at min see how she goes ..

G4J: I would still flush her good and proper, but she looks great even with the yellowing!

i gave them all a good flush and now back on nutres see how they go but i must say the crystal groth is amazing it sure has growen even under its yellowing leaves etc .

i will add pic the mora .

update day 38

ok people since the prob with nutes they seem to de doing fine now on day 38 they are a lot of nice orange hairs starting to form and the crystals are about 50%clear 50% cloudy (i think)

please comment fokes let me know what use think

thats a quality way of showing us BB growers the effects of pruning the lower branches mate - exactly what you'd expect too with your fully lolipopped plant putting all its NRG into the main cola and having fewer other bud sites down to the one you didn't touch giving a smaller cola with loads of bud sites and then the one inbetween -awesome bro.

really handy too, mine is yellowing on all its leaves that dont get light so i rigged up my home made whiskey box light with 2 x bayonet light fittings (one each end) and a 23w bulb in each so 46w of cfl that will sit on the top of the BB pot and just try and give those lower popcorn bud sites a little boost - probably wont do much but better than nowt hey, besides i been using the box light to come on 15mins before my HPS and switch off 15mins after to give me chance to check on them without being blinded by the 600w beast! also gives a sunrise/sunset effect for the plants.

oh and.......(sorry, i know im waffling on your thread)......my clones are all doing amazing - the 2 i transplanted have taken off and the other 2 that looked like a lost cause have both just been transplanted (1 in soil and 1 in a makeshift hempy bucket using a cadburys hot chocolate container!!). Will post some pics on my thread 2mo and stop highjacking yours!

PS. So pleased your plants pulled through from the the nute lockout mate - looks like your all set till harvest.

lol we must think a like i rigged up 2 42w cfls with a ballest i put them in a shad and hung them above the plants but think i might steal your idea and mount them at the lower end o plant more effective that way

what was happing was i was not feeding enough feed and due to this the plants were starting to eat them self prematurely.i up,d the feed and after 2 waters they seem fine again .smelling lovely

Damn they are looking huge. How tall are they? I just started flowering my one big bang and am curious as too how tall to expect them to get. They are comin along nicely. You are getting close to harvest. By my count you have 2 weeks left.

PS. Going by your previous update this should be day 49 not day 47.

cheers m8 there around 4 foot (i think ) i will measure them the mora . they never grew 2 much after the trip to 12/12
you correct it is 49 days lol just got calender out
if the plants allow it am going to leave them till day 75 of till 75% amber trinkets .
