Big enough pot.

Just curious what the concensus is on whether or not I need to upgrade pot. I don't want to, but if I must I must. This is currently a 3 gal. Wasn't expecting this much growth.

Depends on a number of things like how big you can let it get indoors, how much you want off it at harvest, how long it's been in the 3gal. already and so on...

She is in her first week of flower. I know the t5 is still there, haven't had time to switch out to the hps. Doing that in the next day or so, but needed to switch light cycle so that I know she is done and trimmed before Christmas. I'm gonna share the Christmas oil love. Lol

It depends on the strain too. I grew a 41" Golden Goat in a solo cup. I've been playing with pot sizes and went down to from 5 gal to 1 gal containers and was surprised how big plants can get with very little soil. Of course I had to water daily and they get top-heavy too.

I'm now growing in 2 gal (they're really about 1.5 gal) and have 30" Pineapple Expresses growing nicely. You should be fine with a 3 gal as long as you don't expect a 5' bushy plant.

I did a side by side with Jesus OG, one in 7 gal. and one in 15 gal. and got 3.5 z more from the larger container AND I didn't have to water as often but more water each time I did water. I would move it to a seven Bo, even at the stage it's in, I've been transplanting when they start showing and had good results doing so.

True, the larger the rhizosphere the larger the yield in almost every instance. Thats the biggest factor when it comes to pot size - bigger root zone, bigger harvest, every time.

A 3-gallon pot will generally support a plant for 3 months. So it is up to you as to how long that plant will stay in that pot. BigSteve.

Roots generally stop growing rapidly after two weeks into flower. It's best to give them a few days in their containers to fill out before flipping them into flower maybe even longer depending on your media ,growing environment, and strain.
