also just trimmed up some heavily infested or dead leafs which exposed alot more on the harder to see areas which helped clear a hell of alot of aphids off and had made the plants look alot more healthier. im assuming just cutting off some heavily infested leaves isnt going to remove all the spider mites is there anything i can do to eradicate these buggers safely. i fear they are between branch and stem with eggs aswell as i spotted some dense webbing inbtween before. so my buds are probably going to get a load of whatever im spraying on it on them

Did you put Miracle Grow Shake n Feed in there? Because that stuff is very concentrated. I would check the ppm of the runoff. Probably about 3000-4000 if you put a bunch in. Only need about 1/4 tbsp for a small pot. You may need to wash the roots off and repot in new soil if you put a crapload in there.

replied. P.S. i think the plant is healthy now nute wise. probably need my phosphurus but i dont want to give it more nitrogen. any house hold recipes i can make for just p?

i think my biggest issue is still pests. i cant control these aphids ive tried pest spray and yellow sticky traps and they still thrive. ( the pest spray i used was the same day i added nutes). and ants keep lurking round the sides of the pot and one time was a load of them under the pot one time when i noticed more ants than usual. ive read that they can help aphids thrive by protecting them. but is that the only threat ants bring?

I don't know about the bugs. The only bugs I ever get are fungus gnats so that's all I investigated to combat. Actually you may have those too. About the fertilizer, I found a pdf of the label and it says potassium, calcium and magnesium are in the form of oxides. Those would be alkaline, quicklime is calcium oxide, it's caustic, meaning highly alkaline enough to possibly burn you. It also says phosphorus soluble in water; 0%, phosphorus soluble in mineral acids only; 2.6%. I don't really know what all that means. Where's the mineral acid supposed to come from? Maybe sulfuric acid in rain, I don't know.

If you put more than recommended then maybe those oxides made the pH alkaline or something. Should probably test the pH. What it looks like to me is that Potassium, cal and mag would only be available to plants when a strong acid is added. Weird stuff. It's not really like the slow release granules (Shake n Feed). All they need is water for the nutes to dissolve, not acidic water. Aside from testing the pH I don't really know what to advise you to do. I'm just not familiar with that type of product. I guess maybe use something different next time, since it doesn't seem to be working out well.

im just leaving the plant be for now i think. seems pretty healthy at the moment other than pests and im actually noticing some more bud development but might just be because we actually had some sunlight

Well it's pretty hard to kill or seriously set back a weed plant so probably nothing to be overly concerned about. Many people think anything other than perfect leaves means they have to try to find out exactly what caused it and try to fix it. Perfect leaves are a rarity. I read that leaves can only live for 40 days. Might be only tree leaves, I don't know, probably the same with weed leaves. They all die after a certain time and drop off.

more pics from just now. not looking bad in my opinion. i gave a much smaller amount of food when i water her and looks good so far
